Reports were always saying that the de Ligt deal is separate from any Branthwaite offer.
Sounds like we might get £27m for Greenwood, also hopefully a nice fee for Casemiro.
Also rumours were interested in Fenerbache’s Kadioglu who’s very versatile.
Interesting. Good to see we're targeting multiple players at the same time. Two CBs in the same window, especially for two promising, young players potentially resolves a problem area for the next decade.
£50m plus £5m add ons should be the maximum we eventually bid for him, if Everton want more then we should simply walk away.

Kadioglu can play virtually anywhere apart from GK and CB, he is that versatile 😆. I like him a lot.
I read he is arguably the best player in the Turkish league.
Seems like we want Branthwaite was the main target we’ve wanted for long term but De Ligt is one of those ‘market opportunities’ that they feel is there to be taken advantage of given his age, experience, potential and price tag.
Who would people prefer? De Ligt or Branthwaite
Branthwaite but it doesn’t sound like an either option.

He's predominantly a right footed LB but I'd like to see him at RB with Shaw LB. Width from full backs in particular down the right is something we lack.
Dalot has progressed enough to compete for both RB and LB, RB being his preferred, I'd just get rid of AWB.
With Kadioglu capable in LB and RB I'd really like another left footer, ideally someone to replace Shaw long term.

We’re supposed to be broke and not sure we have £90 million to spend on fixing just one position. Don’t get me wrong - I’d happily spunk a huge amount on a striker like Toney as that can paper over some cracks but not sure spending a huge amount of our budget on just two CBs will be the smartest move.
I haven't paid attention to him but from the profile I've just read of Kadioglu, I was reminded of the important playmaking role Daley Blind had in ETH's Ajax side.

Wasn't Blind responsible for RvP scoring a wonder goal for the Netherlands?

Where has it been said with substance what our actual transfer kitty is or that we’re broke?
Seems like we could be bringing genuine fees in for some players this year for a change with Greenwood, Casemiro and either of our current CBs. Maybe McT too.
Plus the previous big purchases coming off our finances finally too.
Kadioglu was also born in the Netherlands so we have to get him. Send them Lindelof the other way.
I wonder what our transfer budget actually is?
I assume we’ll bring in around £50-70 million in sales.

With Rashford being our most notable departure, hopefully!
Sales and what we can spend also depend on who we’re selling. Greenwood will give us more to spend than someone like Casemiro even if his fee is less.
Would be great if we can move on Greenwood, Casemiro, Lindelof, Sancho, AWB, Donny and Antony (one can dream).

No Ugarte, no party
Reports we’ve put in a bid for Ugarte from Alexis Bernard. No idea how reliable he is?
On a side note - I just saw Ronaldo described as the ‘Portuguese Homelander’ and laughed as it’s so fitting.
New goalkeeping coach !!

I'd always thought Homelander was based on him. It kinda jumped out at me first time I watched it.
