Kane is normally in the right place at the right time, however we need balls crossed into the box for him to go for. Precious little of that from Walker or Trippier so far.
Nothing wrong either with substituting anyone where necessary, including the captain.

Think it’s pretty much a 50/50 game. Spain are clearly a better, more cohesive team with the ball. Against that, Eng are better defensively IMO, and when chances do come along I’d take any of Kane, Watkins or Toney ahead of Morata … oh, and Southgate’s also an uber-spawny cant. Makes it a pretty close shout overall, I’d say.

Yep, I’ve got a feeling in my water that this is our turn at very long last 🏆 (mind you, last time that happened I shat myself).

People were basically saying Eng have had a very favourable route to the final, have still played poorly against those teams, and have required a fair bit of luck to progress … Which part of that isn’t true?

I think Spain will be too good unfortunately.

2-0 or 3-1 to them. No shame in it, they've been the best team by far.

Same as Kane, only less losers medals.

Either the best performing team wins or the jammiest team of the tournament does. Felt a couple of rounds earlier that Spain would beat England 1 nil in the final in a tight cagey game which Spain win through a moment of quality. On form, style and performances Spain should win, but I think England will pull off another cheesy result or win it comfortably.

For those of you who may want to revel in the glory of that great day 58 years ago, the ‘66 Final is being shown on Channel 4 now.

England have the players but the performances and style of play just hasn’t kicked in. If Spain turn up, there’s only one winner. If Spain bottle it, then England have a good chance.

If we played Spain 5 times I reckon they'd win 3 and and draw 1. The loss will be tomorrow.

Eh? Eng needed pens to beat the Swiss (who couldn’t beat Scotland), and a very dodgy pen to level against the Dutch (who finished 3rd in their Group). Most of the criticism of Eng and Southgate has been fully merited, regardless of whether Eng go on to win it … not that anyone will be bothered after the event.
