He made a good decision to withdraw from olympics. Barca and Spain really need to manage him properly, cannot allow him to burn out/become injury prone.

Tbf they have a template with Messi who had managed game time early years. That said every player is different.

Pedri is more recent and apt example. Played 70 odd games in his first year and now is injury prone. Started at 17 I believe. So this is the example they’re going off
He’s actually 17 now, so probably overrated.

He's gained a year's experience at the Euros.
The fact that a 16-year old would receive criticism is beyond my comprehension.
Plays for Barcelona, one of the biggest clubs in the world and selected for an outstanding footballing country like Spain.
He's achieved more than almost any footballer in history at that age.
Also smashed a worldie too!
Actually thought Williams was the better player although Lamal has age on his side. They said similar things about Fati and Bojan over the years so feet on the ground with this kid.
He's been up there with some of the best right wingers or forwards in the game, since his debut tbh

Fati would have been immense, too, were it not for injuries.
Pedri was overplayed too young and has since become injury-prone. Barca need to watch this carefully with Yamal given he's played about 60 games for club and country this season.
Bojan....well, he wasn't bad, and did have injury issues, too, but he was over-hyped.
Been a great year for him. Finished high school and won the Euros.

He was 2 years old when Kane made his debut, still won a trophy before him
Barca going to ruin him, no doubt about it. 60 appearances at 16 is an absolute joke.
He played 3000 mins total for the league season. Granted it's still a lot for a 16 year old.
Your average first teamer who does 60 odd appearances usually does 4000 mins or more
Lovely trekkers.
Just hope Barca don’t run him into the ground like Pedri.
Play him to death? they probably will
Has Luke Shaw let him out of his pocket yet?

Yea to let him get an assist
Yamal is a great talent but he’s very likely to be injury prone in his career if he keeps being over played….
I know this will be received as a little controversial, but I think the lads a little over rated , and I think his goal was a great goal, but I've we've seen better right?
brilliant young talent, and already has done some great things in his career... a huge future in football no doubt but I do think a lot are over hyping him a tad
