Morning allπ.
Yep, for me, biggest positives so far are ER ownership and Joe Rodon return.
Still not sure what to make of Red Bull and atm I can only see rather amateur attempts at ingratiation with sceptical Leeds fans. If they were involved with the re-purchase of ER, they should have shouted that from the rooftops - the fact they didn’t suggests they weren’t involved. I’m still wary of their long-term (true) motives for being involved.
Well maybe just maybe with the likely sales of Summerville, Gnonto and Firpo and all the millions in income that that will generate they are working quietly in the background not advertising to the football World how much dosh they have to spend in order to negotiate the best price on some quality signings that will pleasantly surprise us.
This is why I think the above mentioned 3 players strongly rumoured to be exiting this transfer window haven't officially left yet but as soon as they do 4 or 5 new player signings already identified will be announced virtually straight away or just before.
Thats what Im hoping so just have to be a little more patient I guess which isn't always easy but I'm personally still confident The 49ers know what they're doing and want a very strong automatic promotion team this season just as much as we all do.
Apparently insisted on half the gate money from tonights game.
Not sure whether thats good prudent management or a sign of how poor our finances still are.
Good save a LOT of money had they sacked 600k a year Angus Kinnear for his part in the £50m JKA losses
If we're cash strapped, play the friendlies at ER at get 30k+ attendances, instead of playing at the Home Bargains Arena
Very good point that Shaun
I’m not sure whether they try to protect the pitch over the season particularly given then magic weekend coming also. They could make some good money though with home pre season friendlies and some imagination of what would draw the crowds in
We beat Harrogate Town 3 nil.... Firpo, Rutter and a first ever senior goal for young Chambers plus Harry Gray got some game time but overall a useful run out that contributes to geting the squad match fit, hungry and sharp in time for the new season which is just 3 weeks away.
Just back from the game was a good workout, could see us playing 3 at the back this season, new candidate for the slower than me stakes, Joffy waddled round the pitch,
One positive - letting Tyler Adams move on.
Apparently he is out for quite a while due to back surgery.
No sign of Bam Bam last night? Hopefully the dawn of a new era
Bamford has only just returned from knee surgery apparently.

ππ (and I’m absolutely sure that’s true)
Don't think he'll get much of a sniff this season, assuming he eventually makes it off the treatment table
Fade away and bow out quietly. Punditry probably beckons.
Strange how most threads end up discussing Bamford
