5m. Having medical today apparently.

Sounds like Wober is staying as well (for now)

I know he's not everyone's favourite but, Firpo?

What I mean by that is, as the Real Betis transfer seems to have collapsed, in my view it would be a positive if he stayed.

I like firpo. Think he was good enough last year and not the weak link many seem to think him.
Bogle, wober and firpo gives me hope.

I watched Firpo a lot last season and as a wing back he is excellent. If we go three at the back with Bogle and Firpo as wing backs we will get more goals I’m sure.

For me, this is really good news. Solid signing.

Watched a fair few of their games last season with
my Sheff Utd supporting side of the family. He's not
the greatest defender. But, he is an athletic wing
back type. Basically, he's a lot like Firpo.

Having Wober back (hope he really does stay this
time) in a 3 CB back line could get the best out of
Firpo and Bogle. This could be a very good foundation
for us. Fingers crossed, it all falls into place.

I think it was important to get this deal wrapped up before the squad jets off to Germany where he can get well acquainted with his new team mates and be bedded in nicely to a solid system that Farke has in mind to play this season with the potential to have Wober and Firpo involved, this signing for me ticks a lot of positive boxes.

I also think our midfield will be stronger with Ampedu reverting to his normal role and Gruev seemingly not leaving as was rumoured a few weeks ago, the addition of Rothwell as well as young Crew as back up probably means our engine room department is complete so I'm not now expecting any new additions in that area.

However until we know the intentions of Summerville and Gnonto and where their futures lay I'm just slightly concerned our forward line is a bit light and would prefer like most of us Im sure another quality new signing up front which I think could be the vital missing piece in our automatic promotion push this season.

This signing suggests Farke is considering a tactical variation, from the 4-2-3-1 with the double pivot, to the 3-5-2 similar to the way Southampton played last season. He also made a comment yesterday about the possibility of Wober staying on. That would give us an immense backline if he does. This may also be an acknowledgment that our frontline won’t be carrying all of the goalscoring load next season, especially if we lose the potency carried by Cree and Gnonto. This looks more like the squad Farke wanted. I can see him making better use of all the players this time around. We won’t be as dynamic as last year, but much harder to beat. And, I think, better balanced to meet the physical demands of the Championship.

343 might work better with the players we have unless we lose Summerville and Gnonto then 352 might work.

Just not sure where Gnonto and Summerville fit in it the two up top.

Something like this.

Meslier
Rodon Struijk Wober
Bogle Ampadu Rothwell Firpo
Gnonto Rutter Summerville

Theres various options up top and maybe Aaronson would work in the midfield two in the championship

That’s why I think Farke’s brought Bogle in, Outwood. It is his way of softening the blow when Cree and Gnonto leave. Also, shows how important Wober will be if he is staying.

Looked like we played 3-4-3 last night might end up with Wober pascal and Rodon if we do play 3 at the back then Firpo has to stay for me

God I really hope Wober stays. I'd have him sitting in
the middle of the back 3. Rodon on the right. Pascal
on the left. That 3 would boss the hell out of the Champ.

Interesting line up and the back three with wing backs is what people are saying but if Cree and Willy do stay or we lose one and you start DJ on the right there's no room for Mateo, for Piroe or for Bamford other than from the bench. Where Joffy fits in, god only knows.

Always liked Joffy. Feel like he's spinning his wheels
staying at the club. Thought for a while now, his agent
needs to get him a move to another club where he
can start on a regular basis.

Joffy looks a better option than Piroe at the moment. He looked far more direct last night.

I think DF is going to decide after this Germany tour if Joffy is going to be an asset or not and possibly Piroe too and if neither impress then you would hope there is a commanding lethal finisher Farke has lined up to partner or complinent Joseph and Bamford who like it or not is going to see out his contract with us and all we can hope is he can at least be fit enough for 25 games and make a useful contribution.

Just had a butchers at this kids skills who we are strongly linked to getting on loan from C.Palace called Jesuran Rak Sakyi, 21 years of age. Him and Rutter would be obscene.....enjoy https://youtu.be/JKSNkUPEJso?si=6ZUBLNuZvrZGpP8H

Farke said post match that we need more flexibility in regards to formations. We did seem very one dimensional and very predictable in the end. 352 and 343 being the alternatives with Firpo and Bogle as wingbacks.

Bamford to be fit enough & make a contribution over 25 games? 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

In the real world though, Bogle's a great signing. Gives us a dimension we didn't have last season.

Plays on the right same side as DJ and Gnonto, cannot see it happening.
