You could maybe get her ear defenders, lex?
My oldest uses them for similar reasons.

Maybe a wee, silky, compfy blanket would do the same job?
Jeez, no offence guys but is this what our soft society has become? I'd shame the first person that thought of doing that. Was at games in US last month and the crowd looked like a binch a of fvcking wee cyborg men.
Seriously, I understand anxiousness about physical safety but the noise of the crowd is a part of the experience and part of how kids get hooked with the atmosphere. It is not enough to damage hearing. If the kid is scared then it is probably too early or football is not for them. If it is to cut out the swearies then it must mean they already know what they mean and you're too late.
Realise it is tough but are you doing it for them or for you? Maybe try them out first at Thistle or Killie and see how it goes? And talk about the noise being exciting ffs. As soon as you talk about ear defenders you are sending the message to them that it is a problem and fvcking with the phsychology.

Him. He’s neurodivergent. And I wasn’t even talking about football. He needs them even going to school.
Believe me when I say I’d rather it wasn’t the case.

Lex my advice would be if we get a cup game early rounds that may be a better option. While still busy they can be a bit less hussle bussle.
I'm not sure if the family section is any less manic. Usually it is best to get in over 30 mins before kick off as the last 30 mins gets really busy. Once in seat it is ok. But again at Full Time give it 15 mins for the crowds to disperse and then leaving is relatively quiet
earphones are a more recent way of dealing with sensory overload, particularly helpful if you are sensitive to noise.
worked with an autistic child who needed them, believe me when i tell you it can make a massive difference to their comfort. Helps with stress and anxieties.

100% this
There is a young lad that sits near me n JFK and wears ear defenders. When he doesn't have them with him his Grandad tends to have to take him away early
remember the vuvuzelas in the world cup years ago.
Imagine a bunch of those in your ear, just going off again and again.
thats what built up areas feel like to some of the kids that need earphones.
I guess maybe I'm just a grumpy auld cant?
Actually, there's no mibees about it!
