I reckon Levy got burnt so badly with Ndombele etc that he is wary of making `marquee` signings.

We really should go out and sign established PL players Neto, Eze & Toney, which will overhaul our forward line, plus another GK to push Vicario, another CB and maybe another LB. Sell Richarlison to Saudi, sell Royal, Lo Celso, Forster and maybe even Kulusevski.

He's employed a whole new recruitment team since the ndombele, lo celso, royal disasters. Surely you have to back them with funds.

Agree that all those positions need sorting.

I'm not sure that Richy wants to go, which is a problem. I think he likes kulu for his work rate plus can cover Maddison. I don't think he's good enough for a ten personally but he finished the season fairly strongly.

A CF is vital so son can go back out to the left. He's a fish out of water as CF.

Take the Italian left sided defender them lot are buying. We were interested as well. Look who he chose. Get used to it. We are not at the level of the teams above us.

Look at Villa signings, would you happy with three or four of them? Probably not.

We need to buy better than the teams below us not above us because we will get spanked everytime.

Stick the criteria for now, which means keeping buying exciting talent and let the team grow.

Just got to let this window play out.

I, foolishly, thought the Conte summer window was the one where we’d make decent signings and we didn’t. Add that to the 24 years of poor recruitment and leaving managers short and you know it’s not changing under these owners.

If they didn’t change for Conte or Mourinho, they’re not changing for Ange.

I actually think signing a load of young players this summer isn't a bad idea at all. It's not like we have a team of kids. Angeball is intense and exhausting and places huge physical demands on the whole team. Players in their late 20s would likely burn out within a couple of years whole the likes of Bergvall can handle it much better because of their age.
