I don't see us signing another CF. Think we'll go into the season with Bamford, Piroe and Joseph as options to kead the line. Personally, Id rid Bamford and Geldhart and try and find a 15 goal striker.
It should be between Joseph and Bamford to start. Based on form and fitness. Piroe is a good option to bring on along side either of them but he’s just not really capable of playing up top on his own.

I think Farkes biggest problem last year was he didn't rotate enough. Hope he's learnt his lesson.
Unlikely we will play 3 at the back often.
^^^
Your opinion. But, based on what exactly? Your opinion?
Southampton adapted per game. We didn't. Farke had
one way. And restricted the rotation to his own detriment.
Farke can play Rodon RCB, Wober Central CB, Struijk
at LCB and have a solid backline. That maximizes
both Bogle and Firpo's best strengths. Overlapping,
athletic, forward playing wing backs. No square pegs
anywhere to be seen.
Impossible that Gnonto gets more appearances than Rutter & James. What have you been watching?
^^^
One, Gnonto is better than James. Two, Rutter is an
inverted winger or 10. He's not a winger. Gnonto is.
Rutter won't be going up against Gnonto for playing
time, James will. Rutter will be vying with Piroe.
Neither one are a true #9 so they'll be limited. Don't
get me wrong, I think Rutter is brilliant. If Farke opts
for two/three 10s like he did at Norwich then Rutter
makes it over both Gnonto and James. We'll see.
Joseph, Wober, Gnonto, Firpo, Bogle and Struijk definitely not guaranteed starts.
^^^
Your opinion. No way on god's green earth Sick Note
stays fit enough to keep Joseph out of the #9 spot.
Sick Note is Joseph's only true competition. Sick Note
has blocked progress for Joseph. Anyone watching
last season knew the club fcked up thinking that SN
would get back to fitness for the run in. He didn't.
Farke panicked and played Piroe/Rutter at #9 rather
than play the obvious choice who was Joseph. This
summer Joseph has grown into his frame. He could
already do what Sick Note supposedly did. Now he's ready to take and keep the #9 spot. SN is older,
more fragile, and once again injured. Oh and he
still can't score.
Sick Note is the one who is definitely not guaranteed
starts.
As for Wober, you honestly think a full Austrian
international, who has dropped way below his level
to play for us won't start? I'd say he's been told by
Farke, no, guaranteed by Farke he starts. Only an
idiot would leave Wober on the bench. Maybe Farke
is just that, an idiot, and will? Doubt it.
Firpo plays every game until he's crocked again.
Which will happen.
Bogle was brought in for a reason, several. Farke
obviously wanted him. He plays more in Farke's style.
He's young, athletic, has plenty of experience in the
Prem. And he's a genuine RB. Guaranteed starter.
My opinion. But, more likely to happen than what you
have eluded to.
Totally agree. He looks hungry for the season to start. Personally thought the under use of him in the run in last year was a contributing factor to how things went.Has a blinder against Chelsea and then warming the bench for too many times for too long.
We shall see.
Like I said Bamford or Joseph dependent on fitness and form. You appear to acknowledge we struggle without Bamford in the side and the only similar replacement is Joseph. Which is what I have said. You just come across like an angry kid losing at computer games, that or that idiot Mark Goldbridge with similar fantasies.
Wober hasn’t dropped well below his level. We signed him from a side that’s a similar level to this and he went on loan to a side that’s a similar level to top of the Championship. He’s staying because no one wants him and if someone does come in he will jump ship. He may earn a regular starting spot this season. But at this stage he definitely has to earn it. At the moment Struijk is ahead of him and it’s very unlikely we will be planning on playing 3 at the back as you seem to have as a certainty given the lack of centre backs at the club.
Your bogle comments are fair, however the same could have been said about Spence. I am not going to be so naive to describe someone as ‘lock’ whatever that is outside of YouTube before seeing how he plays in a few competitive match’s for us.
God knows how you have Gnonto ahead of Rutter unless you haven’t seen either of them play?
Agree with most of that Faith.
I'd hope Farkes goes with a set up that's best for every game. Otherwise we become too predictable.
We've got the personal to play many styles.
Depending if the team stays as it is right now.
Interesting scenario.....
Bamford don't get properly fit for the start of the season... Joseph gets a run of 6 games, and does sod all, then picks up a slight strain and sits out 2 matches. Bamford recovers and scores 3 in 2 games. Joseph back in or not???
Hmmm
Joseph has done little to prove himself yet so not quite sure what you're all gushing over.
Feels to me that he's just your 'white knight' to save us all from the evil Bamford dragon.
You appear to acknowledge we struggle without Bamford in the side and the only similar replacement is Joseph.
^^^
Nice try. But, you know that's not the case.
The club has stupidly relied on Bamford for far
too long. He's been on the decline the past four
seasons. He cannot score or stay on the pitch
consistently. And that's costs us massively.
Add to that, father time is having his way too.
Always makes me laugh when people say
we always look better when he plays. Even
when we lose and he puts on his clown
act in front of goal.
The club for some mental reason still banked
on Sick Note at the end of last season. Which
blocked Joseph. I'm confident they realize
that fck up now.
You just come across like an angry kid losing at computer games, that or that idiot Mark Goldbridge

Yeah I agree, I think Frake should be looking at Joseph as his best option to start right now. Not sure he is though. I really hope Joseph is used a lot more than last season.
Still hardly seen anything with Piroe that tells me he can play up top on his own. And while Bamford has obviously proved ability in the past, yet again he has someway to go before proving fitness and then form right now.

Batty, if you are going to go around constantly berating anyone that has a different opinion to you. Especially anyone that has the temerity to suggest Bamford has repeatedly offered plenty to this team when fit. Then you should be ready to take a bit back. Or you only used to shouting at your PlayStation so not sure how to handle it when you get a response?
This thread is the tipping point of when Batty became Bluememe.
Bamford is to Batty what Grayson was to Meme.
Constantly going on about his pet hate, doesn't use his actually name when talking about him (Graysin), mentions him on everythread. Loses his nut when anyone says anything good about his behated.
I'm not sure if you should be called Bluebatty or Battymeme if I'm honest, although I am leaning more to the former than I am the latter...
The side will change, during the season, has players form, injuries and formations change 🤦
You can really tell, the idiots who think its champ manager.
Probably get sacked after six matches
I prefer 'Battymeme' but can't be fcked to change it.
Faith, when you throw out initial personal attacks,
the way you do, don't act all offended when someone
gives it back. Quite happy to debate. Or return fire.

Still hardly seen anything with Piroe that tells me he can play up top on his own. And while Bamford has obviously proved ability in the past, yet again he has someway to go before proving fitness and then form right now.

You appear to acknowledge we struggle without Bamford in the side and the only similar replacement is Joseph.

You just come across like an angry kid losing at computer games, that or that idiot Mark Goldbridge
with similar fantasies.

You always come across on here as a smug pr 1 ck.
Superior to the rest of us fck wits. That comment
alone proves you'll always be a smug pr 1 ck.

Back to my question, it seems about half of you
agree about Joseph in the #9 slot. Half not.
Count me as thinking he will be our starter. And
will tear it up in this team and this division.
