Is Barry Hearn going to invest to turen Leyton Orient into a team that can attract crowds to the Olympic stadium with a 60,000 capacity and the O's only getting a crowd of an average 3,500, how will he pay the rent?

Man City pay £4m for the Commonwealth Games Stadium (£2m flat plus another £2m after naming rights sold) so if Leyton orient rented it for £2m and played 30 games there every fan would have to pay £20 just for the rent of the stadium - so nothing for the staff wages or to go towards new players and thats on the assumption that they aren't relegated to League 2.

But forgetting all that with a crowd of 3,500 only 6% of the stadium will be filled and given that there is a running track between the players and the fans it will be like playing in a graveyard.

Orient want to reduce the OS from 60k to 20k, which is a ridiculous thing to do to something that cost £500m.

As much as I despise Barry Hearn, I do sympathise a bit with Orient. Whereas Tottenham's desire to have the OS was based on pure greed, Orient feel the subsidised West Ham OS tickets will put them out of business. This may or may not be true.

I feel West Ham deserve the OS, but they should make some sort of financial goodwill gesture to Orient.

At the end of the day, West Ham did not decide to build a new stadium in Stratford. It's there because of the Olympics, and we're the best club to move into it.
