Raya, Calafiori, Timber, Saliba, Rice, Saka all missed out.
Doubt (hope) Hein, Zinchenko, Kiwior, Partey, Nelson, Jesus are starters for us nor Havertz in midfield.
Not sure how they "easily outplayed us". Was an even game, two teams in mid pre-season without a core of each teams.
Bedwetting after a friendly?
We were missing Raya also
We were toothless upfront, that was the difference.
I would say we had about 5/6 starters while they had about 3
Can't really judge from friendlies tbf. Individuals aside, it's a friendly. No one really cares. Not sure if you saw Chelsea getting humped by Celtic.
The only things I was mildly irritated by was Zinchenko (Salah barely had to jog to get round him), reminded me of how much of a liability he is and also how poor we were with our chances, all the usual suspects. Really hope we have an attacker coming in this window.
You absolutely can read a lot into these pre-season friendlies.

it means absolutely nada. no idea what sessions where done that day prior or the day before. if they are working on things.. ie working on focusing on the press, focusing on working more without the ball etc...

How? Our best XI will most definitely include one, good argument for both.

To be fair one of them hasn't kicked a ball and the other has hardly kicked a ball.
That is how new signings tend to work
Too early to say if they will be in your best XI, is my point.
you'll win the league surely
so close twice in a row and only improving the squad.
not a wum but would be surprised if Liverpool finish top 4 in a first season under new management for a long time, some ageing key players, if they have quiet transfer window too
Just a pre season friendly
No compulsory penalty shoot out this time ?

We need to improve the attack, also find a solution for when Odegaard is not playing

Surprised is a stretch but Arsenal and city are nailed on
For a variety of reasons I couldn’t pick between Liverpool, united , Tottenham or villa to fill the other two spots

United will probably be a $hitshow again. I expect more of the same as last season from Tottenham, and Villa will have to juggle league and CL for the first time which isn't easy, as Newcastle found out. I could be wrong but I'd be very surprised if we didn't get top four.
