One of Stretty’s greatest ever hits of idiocy on here was him taking exceptional issue with me raising someone else’s three year old kids.

He got so abusive over it he ended up getting banned five years apart for the same thing.

I largely didn't, but I think the latest views don't seem as caricature-ish.

yeah I wouldn't get too bogged down in comparing their politics when culer is clearly a caricature

he didn't comment about politics for years barring a few comments during COVID complaining about antivaxxers and worrying about them becoming domestic terrorists

and then suddenly when he thought it would be funny he became a staunch right winger now he's seen he's flown too close to the sun with this Southport stuff so he's gonna leave it alone for a while

it's also possible that he has been radicalised, he definitely seems like the target audience hiding away in his room playing make believe on his computer

think we have a few radicalised folks on here.

No. Just went for the vote reform and Farage stuff for the election as the latest wum and has stuck with it. He is not posting his opinions. Rather just of those stereotypes. But with neurodivergence you can often fail to realise when the wum may not be appropriate. Hence why people got angry with him for continuing the wum through the stabbing of the children thing.

That would be me. Top quality use of the filter button on my part.

That would be like watching lots of films by the same actor and then on one of the films you just decide that that's him being his actual self and not acting a part. Like say Leo DiCaprio was his actual self in Catch me if you Can but was just acting in Titanic and all the other ones.

It would be an interesting concept though. As in the actor has no set lines in the film. He is just told to be himself and say what he feels at the time, as he would if he was just being himself. The other actors just have to react accordingly as their character.

MAYBE that's the Culer phase we are in, the REAL him. But I very much doubt it.

I think the evocative nature of this latest character is what makes you more angry and willing to believe that it is a real person.

We often end up hating actors based on them playing a baddy in a film, that gets us upset and maybe too close to the bone in reality. But really, it's completely irrational.

At the end of the day we all just want to enjoy the show and don't really want to be getting personal with the actors.

then everyone comments thinking they're making fun of him when really they're giving him the reaction he wants

then he comes back a few months from now when it's all been forgotten and he can go back to roleplaying

If there are parts of the show that you do not enjoy or are too close to the bone, then just don't participate in them. It is an interactive show so I understand why you get worked up over certain parts and have the urge to respond, but please try and remember that none of this is real. I am afraid the actors cannot just break character just because you are upset. They are professionals and they will continue to play the roles as convincingly as possible.
