Thanks View.
Nice of you to squeeze us into your all-inclusive timetable.
I may be a year older, but Im not admitting to being befuddled yet.

I'm surprised View's managed to type-out owt resembling a comprehensible MT given how much 'free' whiskey he's been drinking!
Ah... there you are View. It's been too long... but here we go again for what is sure to be a roller coaster of highs and lows of our Championship season 24/25
This break since our promotion has allowed Jorvik and myself to sample all the bars that Mojacar has to offer...not forgetting a glass of white wine for the Ladies (Mrs H & Mrs J)
Anyway, welcome back one and all for what will I'm sure be a feast of footballing entertainment... Cheers Terry. UTR

10.00 pm kick off for you View? Welcome to my world! 😆
Hi View, Yep MT is yours once again....
Where in Greece are you? Im off to Corfu in October. Not been to that island before.
Not happy on all the possible 1230 kick offs thanks to sky. Saturdays i work until 1330 so going to miss plenty of match action!
Here we go again. After the euphoria of promotion subsided my first thought was that we would do well to survive this season. Then I was encouraged by the signings we have made, then discouraged by some of the pre-season performances. Then a bit reassured by the last couple of displays and Warne’s comments of plans and more potential incomings.
It will feel a bit strange to be coming up against clubs with bigger budgets and better players most weeks but I think that’s the size of it at the moment. We are still in recovery mode so realistically a finish anywhere outside of the relegation places is OK. Mid-table would be great, I would quite like a mediocre season for a change.
Thanks View.
Our incomings between now ( signing of 3rd choice GK) to when the transfer window closes will be the best possible indicator of the type of season to expect. Tricky to call it right now.
We've maybe/possibly/definitely got a Swedish GK coming in. At this stage we can't determine how good he'll be but no doubt it'd be a marked improvement on what we have and had. Just quickly on the subject Wildsmith did great but he's not a Championship standard GK. It'd have been good to have got a few for the L1's golden gloves holder, whatever happened during that winter period triggered his departure. All the best.
Dembele continues to be mentioned between us and Birmingham city. Is he a winger ( do we need another?) will he be a no.10 or played as a pacey CF?
The main issue for me is Cashin's current form, he's looked a little bit out of sorts. Uncharacteristic errors in pre-season. If he's getting them out early then great. We definitely need someone stronger, commanding in central defence alongside Cashin and Nelson.
I had a look yesterday at who had done what in the Champ. Sheffield United have started a strong rebuild and I noticed that Peterborough's left back Burrows has joined them. I'd really have liked him in our squad. Especially with how PW likes to play. Millwall signed Notts County 's prolific goalscorer Langstaff.
Leeds have managed to sell £100 million pounds of talent ( made me think we'd have sold that for £10 million! )They'll have a strong rebuild planned but like many are biding their time.
Burnley have certainly splashed the cash to get them straight out of this division which comes as no surprise given the parachute payments. However not many other clubs have and there seems to be a tightening of purse strings.
The transfer market is certainly changing with the big dogs helping each other other to be in line with FFP. Once that's settled and PL clubs have decided who they'll be holding on to can we really be in a position to have a 'proper squad.' There's a lot of disgruntled fans on the usual platforms expecting us to have re-ensembled a new squad already. I'm happy to be patient, take our time and find the right quality of players.
Glad to be back in this division, here's to a season of reading gooooooooooooaaaaaaaalllllllll on a regular basis and enough wins early on to rubber stamp our stay in this division. Anything else thereafter can be a beautiful bonus.
Derby have netted £2.7M this summer from the sell-ons of Kellyman, Delap and Bogle.
Kings of the sell-on clause
Jesters of the transfer fee
We should keep politics out of this forum View and I for one do not agree with your comments. Hope you enjoy your pay rise while pensioners shiver next winter.
Owd VC wanting to "keep politics out of the forum" ....
........... then brings politics into the forum.
Osula to Magpies for £15M. Completely bananas.
No wonder we can't afford a decent striker!!

Disappointing that 9 isn't being saved for somebody.
Collins is still here and was top scorer last season, doesn't he deserve the respect of retaining the shirt?
Maybe. I prefer 1 to 11 to be the first choice starting line-up and I hope Collins is not first choice in that position. Perhaps I am just old school. No disrespect intended to Mr Collins.

And I told you David Ozoh would be number 4. Ha ha.

Unless I'm very much mistaken, I think you'll find that I did VC, (on the prediction thread where you said "scorer whoever is wearing the #4 shirt...."
I'd tell you where we'll all be meeting-up for pre-game cocktails in Blackburn tomorrow, but I don't want to be convicted of inciting a riot.
Do that Scouse and maybe I will let you buy me a jar.
