we can revisit this if he signs .... see who was correct.
Blimey Chris, you’ve changed your tune on Solanke quickly
Spurs won't pay his release clause, absolutely no chance.
He could be decent, he could be schite. It's a bit of a gamble, it's not very exciting. If you were shifting Richarlison (which it looks like isnt' happening) and bringing in Solanke and another then it would be easier to swallow.
Them two as the striker options could see a longer barren spell than Mother Theresa

I explained why on the good news thread if you're curious
do think id rather gamble on Richarlison, Kulusevski and Lankshear for the season for ST and spend the money on a right winger who can beat his man
cause cant see us doing both without Richarlison going.

what thread is this then?
Id be curious to know what on that thread changed your opinion on Solanke 6 days ago from
"One of the worst finishers in the league
"Would much prefer Toney of Jonathan David"
"how many would I need to have seen to justify preferring the 24 year old available for £30m who has scored 30 goals in all competitions in both of the last 2 seasons to the 27 year old available for £65m who has done that once in his career despite having spent half of it in the championship"
"I would prefer to go younger and cheaper"
to what you have now.

so you changed your opinion on him from he is one of the worst finishers in the league to a player that under performs in his finishing , similar to Richy.
and you saying that for 65m you would take that over Openda @ 70m..... but would prefer Jonathan David who is not of the level of Openda.
ok then.
Well as you might note, I pointed out that Richy is a slight underperformer rather than one of the worst in the league. You can live with some slight under performance but not DCL/Jesus level finishing.
And then yeah if David was valued at 70m I wouldn't prefer him to Solanke either. I generally prefering buying younger players like David and Openda but when the price gets too high I would prefer something I think is a safer bet.
Not sure why you're pulling up old comments and twisting my words, didn't realise we had an issue like that
