I am starting to have serious doubts about the 49ers. Talk of Rutter, Wober, Gnonto and possibly Gelhardt leaving. As for incomings, the lad from Norwich I believe will go to Marseille. Bashir Humphries in on loan possibly, but whatever happened to we will be aggressive in the transfer market and get our business done early. If we are hamstrung by the previous ownership, best this ownership buttons it and says nothing prior to the window opening. We have brought in a lot of money and I can see Gnonto and Wober leaving before the end of the window, but Farke said we need an 8, a Summerville replacement and a full back and we are stil waiting. Might be waiting for PL loans but if this is the strategy, keep lips buttoned as saying we are going to be aggressive and get business done early raises fans hopes. Makes them look a little daft too when it doesn’t happen. Let’s hope the situation changes because the championship is unforgiving and we need more players in.
You have to question whether they seriously want promotion because at the moment we seem to think we can do it on the cheap squad wise with quality over quantity. It could be enough but look at the injury records of byram Firpo Bamford bogle.
Appreciate our wage bill is almost double that of 22 other clubs but it us filling 36,000 stadium with parachute payments and record sponsorship and kit sales.
Completely agree it’s the hot air talk that frustrates me and many others I would imagine. If you going to make bold statements then back them up. It really does cause distrust in the owners when effectively they have lied to us.
It may well be that we are waiting for the Premier league teams to announce their 25 man squads and we can try and feed on the scraps left over? Getting loan deals done very hard when you see what happened with Roberts and Anthony but that’s on Farke for his lack of squad rotation and stubbornness with making late subs.
Being aggressive in the market would see us sign Smozdics and Whittaker. We can't even beat Sheff Utd to signings atm.
I fancy Wober, Gnonto and Geldhart to leave come deadline day. Need 3 players minimum imo.
I think we need 3 even if we retain all current players.
22 has to be the mark without including Cairns.
If we sell another 3 we need 6 coming in through the door.
There's a story out today that says Marseille have dropped out of the Rowe running.
Over to you then Leeds.

Is this guy even any good?
James, Rak-Sakyi, Gilchrist, Rowe, Cornet, Rushworth all would have been very achievable in the last month why are we doing feck all?

Better than anybody we've signed since July 20th.
Not entirely sure where this myth about Bogle being injury prone comes from, he's had one period out injured with a knee problem as far as I can see, other that his record is spotless. He's certainly no Bamford.

"If you going to make bold statements then back them up. "
The trouble is, listen back to Paraag and he doesnt actually say anything.
Uses P&S as a constant excuse, says we already have what we need, and when asked about player sales or inbounds says "let's see"
Again, its fans interpreting things, but he's not really saying anything.
I expected sales this window but I also expected quality inbounds, being done early.
Cairns is a cheap backup.
Rothwell a cheap loan fill in.
Bogle a cheap squad builder.
Last summer our business was pretty effective, so hope that the above 3 actually are decent for us this season but its not enough in numbers and not enough in quality, especially bearing in mind the quality we just lost.
Just as there is second season syndrome in getting promoted there is second season syndrome after relegation, I hate this favourites tag we have, nothing is foregone conclusion in this division.
He said we were going to be 'aggressive' in the transfer market.

On second thoughts, this isn't up to date, doesn't show Bambam's injuries from last year.

Outwood. I think we're all pretty frustrated by weeks of inactivity, when other teams seem to be showing us a clean pair of heals.
Jack Clarke rumour circulating again. Would you sell Gnonto for him?
Seems we want him but at £15-£20m he’s gonna blow a quite a bit of the budget.
But if we sell Gnonto then he’s affordable and others can still come.

you're talking as if the 90+ mill we received is completely unavailable to spend.
It's not just the squad depth which makes depressing reading. It's the fact that the quality hasn't been improved either.
The only thing Allardyce did of any worth while robbing the club of millions was drop Meslier. Over a season later we're still watching him make Sunday League errors, while Herr Farke somehow reckons he's the best in the Championship. Nonsense.
We're still paying Bamford a joke wage. Much has been said about this drain on finances, and his appearance on Saturday was frankly scary even by his standards.
Gelhardt was massively over-hyped. Looks a nothing player now.
Do we believe Gnonto is fully invested in the future of the club considering what happened a year ago? Especially now his mate has gone.
Wober, Aaronson - can't blame people for finding it difficult to get behind these two.
We started the game on Saturday with one new signing and he had a nightmare.
Pre-season optimism feels slightly misguided already. Stand still in this league & you go backwards.
Something feels very amiss at the moment.
Premiership loans rarely work.
We need to splash some cash in the next fortnight & improve both quantity & quality in just about every area of the squad.
Our supposed squad depth is a myth.
We have (IMO) a top 6 side. No way we walk this
division. And no way this year's division is weak.
Sheff U are stock up on good players. Them,
Burnley, and Luton will be strong (Luton had 3 or
more players out injured against Burnley). It
will be a week to week slog once again.
So if the 49ers don't add quality or at the least
real depth, we'll end up play offs at best. Which
is just fine. But, we should be the 800 lb gorilla
in the Championship. We're of a show pony
right now.
Agree 100 % White.
Meslier is a train wreck with gloves on.
I won't mention the former #9 any more.
Beyond this, he looked woeful and frankly lost Saturday.
And wasn't Farke bleating on about how Ipswich
were better than us because they had experienced
players? So far we've added Rothwell (who I like)
in that department and that's it. Something is not
quite right at the club. And the clock's ticking.
Get a fcking move on.
