The ref ‘physically indicated a foul’ before Dessers put the ball in the net!!??
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
WTF? There is only one way a ref can ‘physically indicate a foul’ and that is by physically blowing his actual whistle.
And as folks have said - play to the whistle.
If he blew before the ball went in then he’s fooked it up and the goal shouldn’t have stood.
If not then they reached the right decision.
If the players (and some loon ball opposition fans) have decided to bypass the long established whistle protocol and decided to to interpret a nod and a wink from the ref whilst play is still going on in their box then more fool them 😂
Look, he absolutely made string indicative gestures that a foul was to be awarded. It’s quite easy to do and is abundantly clear in yesterday’s instance.
There is even debate over whether or not he did blow his whistle. Some St Johnstone players say he did. The ref and others say he didn’t.
As such I’m not that bothered either way. Rangers from what I read deserved to win the game. It’s just hilarious seeing them embroiled in even more controversy and being seen to benefit yet again. Rangers don’t need any more attention for the wrong reasons but while they continue to get it, we’ll sit back and giggle.
As for the team lining up in some bonding and celebration. Just ugh, cringe
Amusing if nothing else

This really is pathetic.
‘ while Premier Sports pundit Marvin Bartley can also see the grounds for controversy. He said: “Whether he says he blew the whistle after or he didn't, the fact he puts his hands out and indicates a free-kick is given...’
Yeah, physically indicates a foul.
This what happens when you don’t like the messenger, so play the man rather than the ball. You miss the substance of what’s being said.
I never said any of the players saw what he did, and never said any of the players stopped. I didn’t say they should have played to the whistle, etc. I said what he did was a bit daft, that he made the right call by playing on and it wasn’t a foul.
By indicating a foul though, he made a mistake. It caused a bit of confusion with the commentary team and pundits (like Neil McCann and Ricky Foster, the well known rangers hating khunts).
Don’t think it’s a big issue, just something for the ref to learn from.
‘ while Premier Sports pundit Marvin Bartley can also see the grounds for controversy. He said: “Whether he says he blew the whistle after or he didn't, the fact he puts his hands out and indicates a free-kick is given...sometimes as a player when you're out there and it's loud, you can't hear the whistle.
"He's pointing as if he's given a foul so, for me, he's made a mistake. Regardless of what they come out and say, if he says 'I didn't blow my whistle', he's indicated to the players out there that he's giving a foul.’
That’s the rest of the quote, before there’s accusations that I cut some of it out deliberately.
So yeah, physically indicates a foul.
The messenger rests his case.

Of course there was a benefit
The St Johnstone players stopped believing a foul had been awarded leaving the play to go on unchallenged which resulted in a goal. That’s a benefit.
The correct decision was absolutely arrived at in that when reviewed on VAR the decision was made that there had been no foul and a goal was correctly awarded. But don’t try and kid on that there was a point in play where everyone (except Dessers it would appear) though play was to be stopped
As I said, I’m just enjoying the continual circus that seems to surround Rangers at every turn. I never cease to be amazed at what happens next. Of course Rangers will sort themselves out and prove to be worthy runners up again

It’s the continuing farce that’s amusing is all.
I will however draw attention back to the Alistair Johnston handball non penalty incident. The outrage over that was hilarious despite the fact that offside would have over ruled it.
And players are claiming that the whistle was blown.
I don’t know. Wasn’t there and even if I was it sometimes isn’t heard among the noise.
