If this is true (and based on the source why wouldn't it be) then I'd be all for it. Being realistic perhaps we could get Chalobah in any deal as he'd be an option for right back as well as CB. Would also count as homegrown too which could be important.

If this were true would you take a few million plus Petrovic and Chalobah?

Looking at their squad and players they don't want that might do United some good.

A decent keeper to replace Onana if he has another spell where he's costing you goals. Chalobah has always looked decent to me and still time to improve. Replace Lindelof and integrate him before Maguire and Evans are moved on.

I've convinced myself. You should be paying Chelsea money for that deal

If I see where you're going with this Rosso (and I think I do), what you're suggesting is that we can simultaneously saddle Chelsea with Sancho and launch a new feeder club in Moldova with the fee and players they give us in return.

Moldova I would suggest is a little risky given the existing Russian military presence in Transnistria and Chelsea’s historical links to the rogue state.

I could imagine a ‘hostile takeover’ by a group of full-kitted ex-Wagner mercenaries (all with Terry 5 on the back, obviously) ultimately resulting in our new assets all being re-patriated to Cobham in an IL-76.

Yes, absolutely. We probably need someone more defensively minded now don't we. A Casemiro with legs would be good. Although, to be fair, I thought he looked better last week and, as the Overlap pointed out, he looked leaner too. Perhaps he's anxious to prove himself all over again which can only be a good thing.
