Has anyone considered the possibility that City haven't actually broken any rules?

Personally I've always suspected that they are as dully efficient off the pitch as they are on it.

Working away in the background there's an accountancy equivalent of Rodri, joylessly keeping things ticking over, and a marketing equivalent of Boring Brute Boreland, banging in hat tricks of sponsorship deals that nobody outside of the club cares about.

And you can bet that there will be a legal equivalent of Borenado Silva just waiting to come on when required and put the case beyond doubt with a deflected closing argument that sends everybody to sleep.

35 charges relate to not complying with the investigation and providing sufficient information.

As I have been saying since day one.....why would a club with nothing to hide behave this way? It's just ridiculous. Of course they are guilty. They've been rumbled and they don't like it and that's why they have tried to drag this out for 4 years.

Be hilarious if that Aguero moment is wiped from the history books and Phil Jones gets another winners medal. Not that I'm expecting that to be what happens but wouldn't that be fun. πŸ˜‚

The titles have to go.

Otherwise it sets the precedent, you can cheat and win things but you'll have a rough season or two when we find out.

Give it to the 2nd place teams, with an asterix. Vacant for however many season will look terrible.

Also is a 70 point deduction not extremely lenient considering Forest had a 4 point deduction for 1 PSR charge.

City have 119 charges, everyone bar the 1st PSR breach is surely more serious than Forest, given it's repeat offending for the next 6 PSR charges and the other charges are fundamentally charges of dishonesty.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Well if you're going to be silly then why don't we do this?

I think the sentence should be withheld until the conclusion of the season. We need to ensure that the inevitable points deductions shall result in the final tally of -115, and beamed above the Manchester skyline like a Bat-signal.

I think I said this before but if found guilty they should just rename them Manchester Cheaty

Lets assume City are found guilty, the PL will recalculate City's revenue for the periods under investigation minus the alleged £58m of equity sponsorship. The revised income statement will then be assessed against the PSR threshold of £105m loss over a successive three year period.
Everton got 6/8 points for a £19m PSR breach. Looking at City's figures, they will still pass PSR for the majority of those years.

So, in anyway you guys try to get City out of the way, we are not going anywhere.

In the (slightly unlikely) event City are instantly relegated or get a points deduction that eventually relegates them, are the Football League compelled to accept them? If they are, then if City gain promotion back to the PL, are the PL compelled to accept them?

There's really no precedent for this kind of thing in England (the scale of it anyway), so just gonna have to wait and see.

If they are deducted 70 there is still a small chance they stay up

We can quiz him later about where he works and how much he earns, also how much his house is worth (full address so we can check) and the details of his wife's bra size.

He likes everything out in the open.

They'll get away with a pointless fine, a pathetic points deduction which won't really affect them bar finishing top 10 for one season. No Titles from the period will be stripped. The PL will just wilter in the face of the Arab owned Club and Pep.

Pretty much. If City are found guilty of all of it, then the fall out is going to be much bigger than a points deduction, however large it is.

It was great to see Bernardo show the white Duane Dibbley what for for time wasting, then a couple of minutes later scored the equaliser.
