Certainly have question marks on Farke.
Before kick off I was extremely surprised to see Piroe at 10. He was poor all close season friendlies. Genuinely would have played Aaronson or Gelhardt ahead of Piroe.
We got exactly what I expected from Piroe. Losing the ball majority of times because his feet and brain are too slow.
Then he brings off width again and plays Aaronson on the wing again.
Subs rarely make us better.
Subs are nearly always too late.
Id sell Piroe. I like him but he's hopeless at 10. Just go and sign a proper 10 ffs.
Think he'll be gone after the game on Friday anyway. I do feel for him a bit regarding off-field issues. He certainly built a tremendous spirit within the club last season. How has this been affected by the return of Wober & Aaronson? Is Gnonto behaving himself considering how he behaved a year ago plus now his mate has gone?
On the field my patience is wearing thin. He continues to hang Piroe out to dry in a position he clearly can't play, he needs to be more advanced. This is a player who can get you 20 goals in a season. We're not going to get that from Joseph, Gelhardt, Aaronson & definitely not from the clown in the number 9 shirt.
Keep reading references to Bielsa but I'd love a coach more in the mould of how Howard Wilkinson was in his early years at the club. Could devise different tactics for different opposition, made good substitutions, generally used his brain & wasn't afraid to think out of the box.
Farke has one approach. If it doesn't work, we don't get the result. Seen it too often now.
Keep reading references to Bielsa but I'd love a coach more in the mould of how Howard Wilkinson was in his early years at the club. Could devise different tactics for different opposition, made good substitutions, generally used his brain & wasn't afraid to think out of the box.
.........................................................................................Totaly agree.
You have to give him this transfer window now imo but had we lost yesterday I would have called it quits but even though it wasn't pretty, yesterday's draw psychologically was an important step forward and I sense just by the body language of Rodon,Struiyk and
Ampedu that they are fired up and determined to drag this side up to the top 6 at the very least.
I think Gnonto will go unfortunately and I hope Wober goes too because he seems to be quite a negative influence on the squad as he clearly looks like he wants out so get him sold ASAP.
Joseph, admittedly did not have very much service yesterday but I was quite shocked at his appalling first touch so that makes me question his suitability to be our first choice striker and I hope the club is working on bringing in a new centre forward....who though, God knows.
We can all see we need another left back, midfielder, number 10 and with Gnonto likely to leave we'll need 2 wingers so that is 6 new players we need before the window shuts and I've not even included a new goal keeper because I just can't see Meslier being replaced
with DF at the helm so we'll just have to hope he can keep his howlers to the barest minimum.
Finally I think the owners from a PA point of view have failed miserably with their deafening silence and letting the loyal support worry and fear the worst...that is shameful, disrespectful and a massive red flag in terms of their trustworthiness and ability to successfully take us forward to bigger and better things but we'll just have to see what rabbits they are able to pull out the hat in the next 12/13 days before we completely trash them.
The thing that puzzles me about Farke is why is he still there.
Not why hasn't been sacked but why hasn't he said, enough is enough, I cannot work in these circumstances, I'm off.
He virtually said in the pre-West Brom press conference that he was got in on a lie, he wasn't told the full facts at the very least about players' contracts.
In his circumstances, before taking the job on, I'd have wanted to know everything and one of the crucial questions I would have asked would have related to player contracts, which players can leave under which criteria.
I would feel a massive trust issue had been broken with my employer, reason to leave, I've left jobs for less.

I see Sunderland are thrashing Shef Wed 3 nil at ht. Jack Clarke playing a pivotal role so does that mean the likelihood of Leeds signing him is over? Plus Skipp has gone to Leicester so any feint hope of us getting him
has gone now too.
Part of me hopes Southampton struggle and they
knee-jerk fire Martin. If that happens, I'd take him
over Farke all day long.
Just read Farke's comments that he thinks we need
4 signings. However, he's not confident that we can
get those over the line. Paraphrasing. If a club of
our size can't add 4 players after raising 235 mill over
last two seasons, then something is very wrong.
Macca, Sunderland have been very good. Jack's not
signing with us. It'll be a drop down from his current
club. Sheff Wed are a good side, getting humbled today.
I just keep thinking Batts that surely our owners want Leeds to be successful this season and be in good shape to get promoted but we're not seeing any signs of urgency from them and I'm as pessimistic as I can remember thinking we have a regime that for some reason doesn't care if we don't challenge or get promoted.
I'll be surprised too Batts if we get Clarke or Rowe or Chair or Whittacker or Sargent or anyone that fills us with excitement and like Dennis has said Farke has clearly been lied to over the clubs aims, intentions and
ambitions but doesn't feel strong enough to walk away but then again he'd probably lose a few million quid in compensation if he resigned.
Waiting as ever like all Leeds fans to be pleasantly surprised in the coming days and posting how we wrongly misjudged our owners but I'd say that outcome is looking like a pipe dream at this present moment.
If the club don't bring in what Farke wants re players,
he should resign. Walk. If he doesn't it probably means
he needs the job more than the club need him.

What I meant to say was his current team/XI

Past glory counts for little if our owners think we're the leagues cash cow.
49ers have to show ambition and actually want to get out of this horrible league.
This Serbian Lubijic midfielder guy looks like a more attack minded version of Gruev or similar to Kamara but can score half a dozen goals per season so if we do get him and I actually think we will then that's a start but I reckon the dithering about with Rowe probably means we're after cheaper options like Benson from Burnley and I can see us getting Jaidon Anthony back from Bournmouth too to complete our midfield.
No idea who we are linked with now regarding a left back and a centre forward either so will wait and see if either or both materialise but like last season the transfer window has been a schittt show of utter incompetence that I think we all wrongly assumed wouldn't be repeated....Must do better 49ers, this is not good enough!
Most people are now talking are now talking about us needing about four/five players through the door to replace those that have left this window. That is assuming that no more leave.
That means the recruitment team from having done f' all for the last month will need to be signing one person every three days as a minimum.
Not sure that's going to happen.
