Not a disaster mate..... 3 of the back four have barely had a pre season, we are trying to integrate a new CF into our system days after joining and we had really poor performances from Son & BJ

Plenty to be optimistic about BUT Anage has got to show that he has learned from his first season, show greater tactical flexibility and stop saying " this is me mate".... We know he likes attacking football but he's being paid to win football matches and we should have won easily last night

Ange should stop signing pace merchants like Johnson and Werner and look instead for players good at football

Not a great result obviously, but I never count a point away as a disaster.

We don’t win Saturday thought, the questions will begin.

Agree with you about Kulusevski though.

Why did he take Maddison off for a kid? Surely you had a better chance of winning with him on the pitch? I think at times he makes subs for the sake of subs.

Very poor result. All of our top 4 competition won their games and most of them had the tougher games. I am getting sick of letting teams in when we take leads....why can we never go 2 nil up and kill a game off?

If we can't beat Everton then it's a real problem.

I don't think Kulusevski idea/best position is as a winger, and I now think Ange also sees him playing in the centre, but agree that Johnson shouldn't have started, on the single goal we conceded it is a concern but more worryingly is the 3 or 4 that we didn't score absolutely abysmal on a night when Maddison played out of his skin too
Really needs to have a rethink on the front 3, hopefully Odobert comes in but then again Son wasn't great either

Begs the question though, why start that defence when they have played so little?

Why did BJ start when Kulu has looked our best attacking player pre season?

That was an alarm bells ringing game for me last night - I am losing faith with him

Don’t beat Everton and the league season is more or less a write off as we will let in at least 3 at Newcastle and Arsenal will be 2 up before we get started against them.

If we’re sat there with 2 points from our opening 4 then we are done in terms of a CL challenge in my eyes.

More worrying though is we have kept 3 clean sheets in our last 28 games under Ange - he simply does not understand defence and we let in absolute howlers.

We are nowhere near where the club wants us to believe we are. Miles away. Lastnight was a distaster, plainly because we fell apart AGAIN. The goal we conceded is unacceptable at this level. What was Romero even doing? He is vastly becoming one of the most overrated players we have had in a while IMO. That was basic and he couldn't/didn't do what was required.

BJ and Werner and not good enough. Solanke, whilst new and needs time got into some promising positions but didn't show quality when it was needed.

I'm sorry, but after one game my hopes have already been lowered. Same mistakes, same players and same shet.

Oh yea, and Maddison is fast becoming a flop IMO.

He should just go all in and play Bergvall and AG to give us some hope for the future.

Dyche will park the bus and unless we sharpen up we will score one and then let them have a goal from their only corner of the game and it will be another disappointing draw

You could see that equaliser a mile off - it was classic us under Ange, we should have been 3 or 4 goals to the good and instead we were only 1-0 up and we always concede.

We’re not clinical enough and we can’t defend - very bad combo

We will probably beat Everton as we will manage that 2nd goal

concede around the hour mark again and backs against the wall chitting ourselves for the last half hour

Mostly agree although I can’t write Solanke off yet, it’s been 1 game and he has had no pre season with us.

It def doesn’t look like we’re any better.

Expectations rose this summer due to the youngsters we have and he didn’t start any of them yet we had to watch BJ stink out another game - somehow getting ahead of Kulu who has been on fire.

I think he has to go all out in the cups - it’s his only chance as we aren’t finishing higher than 6th and I will happily take bets on that

Listen lads, it's the first game of a long season and you drew a game you should have won. No biggie.

I do think you need a commanding CM or DM to help out the defence who can get exposed but no sure who is available with only 2 weeks left of the window.

You'll beat Everton who have dreadful for 20 years and will get top 5 imo - maybe top 4

If he drops Sarr and BJ and brings in Biss and Kulu and hooks anyone having a stinker then I think we will just about beat Everton.

I actually think we have a squad that should be top 4 - what I am not convinced about is the ability of Ange - I don’t think he can get the best out of it

Ange is one dimensional. Playing the same way all season regardless of your opponents isn't sustainable. We were a bit like that in the last knockings of the Wenger years. Ange could easily get you a cup though with that all out attack style.

We could probably go far in the Europa or if we get kind domestic cup draws - but I would worry that he will be tactically undone quite easily in a big game as we are incredibly predictable.

It’s a shame as we are actually very entertaining and I enjoy watching us but the results don’t match the performances and we let in atrocious goals where we just collectively switch off.

I was also very disappointed with last night's result, but I do think a few fans are going a bit overboard with the criticism of Ange.

Romero is a world cup winner and recently a Copa America winner, so how anyone can blame Ange for Romero not picking up Vardy is beyond me!

With regards to the lineup, I was trying to workout what the first 11 would be and the only area that I struggled with was the midfield. As it turns out I predicted every player correctly bar BJ. I thought Kulu was nailed on to start, so that was a mistake from Ange. Having said that, Kulu constantly cuts in on his left and becomes so predictable. I'm hoping that Odobert offers us more in this position.

The buck stops with Ange, if Romero isn’t doing his job then play Dragusin.

We look soft as shiete defensively especially away from home. Teams know that if they can weather the attacking storm then we will give them plenty of chances to score

I don't think Dragusin is the silver bullet to cure our defending problems.

Set piece defending is a problem and that is on Ange.

A player losing concentration for a split second is on the player. Just as it's the fault of our forward players for not slotting the ball past the keeper from a good positions and showing a bit of composure
