Anyway - what a nice way to lose a player:

Nothing wrong with Mes.

----------------------------------------------------------------------
.... " probably one of the poorer keepers at this level last season," - on what basis do you assert this? Care to share your Championship keeper comparison assessment?

"... has a blind spot when it comes to Meslier". - Farke has? Or you have ?

Lots of statements perhaps based on a personal emotional perspective rather than facts?

But I suppose a large percentage of comments made on here are that..... a lack of sound reasoning, more based on the personal attachment/disattachment to particular personalities within the team. For instance, I never warmed to Cree and irrespective of his positive performance aspects, always felt he played for himself and not the team. Didn't like that. So happy he's gone.

----------------------------------------------------------------------
It's not a sweeping statement based on your obvious dislike for Cree, it's based on the data, not sure what you are basing your assessment on these are the stats for last season, you will note just how low Meslier is in the table.
He was saved by the relative strength of the defence in front of him which helped him keep all those clean sheets.
Now the defence and in particular Rodon have started slowly, Meslier is struggling. Use you eyes man.

Hey Dennis … some people don’t like being presented with facts … 😂

Meslier isn't an issue atm, we've left ourselves so short elsewhere that we don't need to worry about a new keeper. I think we need 4/5 more in as it stands.

posted on 23/8/24

We have much more important positions to worry about than a goalkeeper.

Thanks for the stats I asked for. I hadn't seen these.

Kinda of supports the argument i made though doesn't it? ....That we all make emotional judgment which stats don't always support?
I like Meslier but didn't like Cree. The stats say it should be the other way around. 🤷‍♂️

Back in the day I liked Duncan McKenzie, Terry Yorath and Tony Currie but never warmed to Johnny Giles. 🤔

Luckily football ain't all about the stats though is it?

Amazing how people always have a go at Meslier and say he had help from his defence, odd, but I wonder how many goals he let in were the fault of his defence!..

He's been voted in the Championship team of the season, I'm sure people that put him there have seen more reports and stats about him than anyone here!..

If there are better keepers in the Championship with better stats then surely it should be asked why they haven't come before him!..

Wilder in YEP saying Leeds made up the Rak-Sakyi
claim that he only moved to Sheff U, and not us, due to
being guaranteed minutes. Says:

"I know another club put in - to cover themselves - that
we signed a guarantee that Jez plays a certain amount
of games.

"It’s an absolute fabrication and there’s another word I like to use that I am not sure I’ll be able to use..."

Despite my high hopes for Wober, he's either another
one made of glass, or he's taking the p ss waiting on
or trying to force a move back to Germany.

I also had high hopes for wober but only as a backup. If he doesn't want to be here I hope he goes soon.

Agreed.

Not picking on Wober, but any player who wants
out at this point should get their wish. If we really
are backing Farke 100%, he's said himself he
only wants players fully committed to LUFC.

All those people who talking about Gnonto's attitude, I wonder if they realise that Ramazani was suspended for a prolonged period last season for using abusive language towards a ref who had sent him off. I will not repeat the words but they were in English and not very polite and can be found here. https://www.udalmeriasad.com/en/news/ramazani-handed-five-game-ban-and-euro2400-fine

Also worth noting he was in last year of 5 year contract, not sure if his club made any efforts to extend that.

Looks like he likes a tackle and winding opposition up.

Like that.
