Yep, looks like we’re still doing paperwork in the background in the grace period after the window’s shut. The previous 2 months obviously not quite long enough, for a guy we could’ve signed on 1st July if we’d wanted.

1m cost and 3 year deal, I am a bit meh about it bit sometimes these are the wee gems of a transfer that really come good

Pretty decent window for us, some very astute deals in and out, some clear out of the dead wood!

As others pointed out earlier, we probably needed McCowan for our “home grown” quota for Euro squads. Happier with it on that basis, altho time will tell how much game time he sees. Welcome to CP anyway.

BTW, just confirmed Edouard’s gone on loan to Leicester. Always looked like he was offski somewhere.

McCowan looks an excellent player to me. It's a great bit of business and he'll grab his chance if it comes.
Seriously weakens Dundee though. It's not our job to look after them but we could have done that deal weeks ago and gave them a chance to spend some money.
He was the best player in the country outside Celtic.

Yeah......I'm reasonably pleased. I can't see how we haven't upgraded the LB. Shame there's no option to buy and no feasible way of doing it given his contract situation. I hope Trusty has made Scales "boot fvck out of his dog"

Have to be excited about Engels given his billing and clearly how Rodgers wanted him as MOR replacement.

For once there seems to have been a bit of forward planning on the GK position. Schmeichel and his heir apparent should hopefully work well. They can rotate depending on games maybe.

Final thought, I can't think that there won't be words said about how last minute most of the business was. It's like everyone forgot Ange was in the building not that long ago.
