Sven-Göran Eriksson, with his love of Liverpool, was set to replace Sir Alex Ferguson at MUFC in '02.
Didn't happen.
Six years later, as MCFC boss, he laid a wreath at Old Trafford around 50th anniversary of Munich. Then he embraced Ferguson on the pitch. He got it spot on. RIP

Not sure how feasible a cure is for pancreatic cancer, but I really hope the screening for it can improve in the coming years as it usually doesn't start displaying symptoms until it is too late.

Always came across as a very likeable manager - you could imagine spending time with him and having a really interesting conversation, whether it be about football or something else in the world.

My friend's husband died of the same a couple of years ago, but didn't even make it to 40. Just need to keep hoping for more breakthroughs, for all cancers

I'm sorry to hear that.

It really is the cruellest one as there basically is no cure for it at the moment and a person's age doesn't seem to help against the disease either. Liam Miller was only 36 when he died from it.

my Nan died of pancreatic cancer

the worst one to get, silent killer...only shows symptoms once it's spread everywhere and is incurable

Sorry to hear that.

You're right, I just hope the screening for it gets better and prognosis can improve.
