Yes, it’s very sad news indeed about Sven. R.I.P.
Sad news, fantastic guy, probably needed better people around him (recruitment) when he was at our club but I think he conducted himself really well
Such sad news, especially on the back of the Craig Shakespeare news.
Whilst his time here was short and ultimately unsuccessful, I think he played a much bigger role in our rise than he is sometimes given credit for. Those 10 months when he was in charge really raised the profile of the club beyond anything it had seen for a decade or more, helping the club to establish a foothold in Thailand and internationally. It was also a very exciting time for the club and some of the football we played during the second half of his first season was breath-taking at times. He was also a genuinely very nice person and had a gentle aura about him.
RIP Sven.
