1 or 2 more fringe targets like another keeper would have been good but I'm ok with what we've done and our squad. Is it good enough for top 4 and a cup? Well I think it is as it stands, if the majority of players play as well as we know they can. It will depend on luck, through injuries and other obstacles, and how much Ange will take these things seriously but the squad is good enough.

No cup or top 4 again is failure on Ange's part.

The Odobert came out of nowhere and the Gray deal happened very quickly, so we may get surprised by a late one.

Doubt anyone big because selling clubs also need to find replacements. Minimum I think we need a loan or 2 defensively

Could use another more experienced body in midfield and at the back

Being short there could prove the difference in a long season

We will see

I hope not. I think we're extremely bare for a side about to enter Europe. You could argue we have cover in most positions but there's one or two areas that still need work. Ange's entire gameplan relies heavily on VDV's pace. As soon as we lose him to a potential injury, we're screwed. As good a defender as Dragusin is, he's not THAT type of player - he's more Romero cover. Then there's cover for Udogie. If the plan is to use Ben Davies then that's an enormous drop off. I'm amazed those two areas haven't been seen to yet.

I'd also argue that we're short in central midfield. We don't know much about Gray yet but I'm a little nervous that we haven't adequately replaced PEH, who was happy to sweep up and protect.

To tell the truth I think there's plenty of areas we could still strengthen, even up top but maybe that's for another time.

In terms of ambition when you consider player sales and huge wages cut offset by incomings, even the most positive of minds couldn't describe this as anything other than an underwhelming window. We've replaced top earners with kids on relative peanuts. You can't underestimate the difference that makes long term.

We've got more financial wiggle room than any other club in world football apparently. You'd never know that with the way Levy operates. I'm just surprised that fans are surprised now when we don't sign that 'marquee' player. I know we've had success with younger players down the years but still. You need top experienced lads in there too.

The fact that Levy is putting off Staveley's camp by wanting to retain control of the club in any minority takeover is a real eye-roller. We're stuck with this prrrrrick aren't we?!

Don't get me wrong as Im the 1st to criticize levy but on the grounds he owns 30% of the club.. Its more the case of him being stuck with us.

The simple truth is that Spurs are a business, not a football club & this is how businesses are run

I'm hoping for a surprise signing but I am certainly not expecting it. It feels like we're done.

Overall, as usual, it feels like we're still short. I don't think we'll finish any better than 5th again at current strength. If we win anything, I'd say our best bet is Europa, I'm sure we'll be punted out of the domestic cups by the first decent team we meet.

wonder if late bid for Trevoh Chalobah might be a good bet.

Chelsea have gotta do something with that squad

Thought he was a bit unlucky to get bombed out along with Gallagher

apparently we had someone fail a medical this week so will be tough to get all the work done on another signing now

BS. Was Coulibaly apparently and hes just joined Brest on loan

doesn't mean much, nusa failed a medical with Brentford and has now gone to Leipzig. different clubs interpret the information in different ways and comfortable with different things.

if he has some long term injury concerns, you can see why we might not be comfortable offering him a long contract and paying a fee for him, but Brest wouldn't mind taking him on loan for a year

We're not bare. We have a 25+ man squad. If we move on Reggie and GLC then we may well replace them but we have never been in the business of bringing in players and having other players, like these 2, not being registered.

You may consider that cautious or lacking ambition but actually its good stewardship. In an era when one 6% ticket price rise in 4 years gets lambasted as greed, not pissssing away £800k a month on wages of players who we cannot register is not even given a 2nd thought by fans. The same fans who don't consider the signing of a £65m striker as marquee.

I think fans have lost sight of reality when it comes to our spending. It's never enough.

We are in a rebuilding phase. Deadwood being shipped out. New blood coming in.

I can totally understand the scepticism of fans re: Levy, how they have seen all this before, building for a future that never arrives.

But i feel things are different now. In the post-new stadium era, this is the best and most complete off-field setup we have had. Aside from our spending going up a lot, the signings have been far more successful in the last 3 years. That, I think, is undeniable. We now have a quality core of players who most are very happy with. Its been added to with some youth and potential and some 'oven ready' signings and its the likes of Munn and Lange and their team who are the ones identifying the players. There will be an agreed 'club strategy' and that will include a focus on youth, potential and value but also complemented with more experience.

I think fans have to have a bit more faith in the current setup rather than constantly harping back to bad decisions Levy has made in the past, because really, his involvement at the football level is nothing like what it was. If we chose Odobert over Chiesa a 19 year old over a 27 year old, then so be it, trust it, get behind it.

The work isnt done. We probably need a LCB LB and CM to fully complete the squad. No point scrimping on these areas, which means that we may not be able to afford everything this summer - Probably talking another £75-100m there, and while sum consider that nothing, i would suggest they should give their head a wobble!

I see what we have now and am excited not underwhelmed. I get Poch vibes about this squad and that we're building something special....it may outlast Ange, but the quality is there and coming through the academy too. Looking forward to seeing what qualities Gray, Bergvall and Odobert can bring. Hopefully have the sort of impact other youngsters like Udogie Alli, Dier, Kane, Walker had in the past.

COYS!

true seen that all medicals are different, was the Nusa one in the same transfer window?

no a few months later, but the buzz at the time was his medical was a complete disaster and he had a back like a retired dockworker
