I don't think he was going to play for a few weeks anyway. Merino hasn't had a proper preseason for a start, which is probably why he got injured. Gabriel is a nutcase.

Still a bit of blessing for him to adjust off the pitch. He can bring the wife over and find a place to live.

We wanted to bolster our MF knowing the amount of games we would be playing and departures. So it's pure arrogance and ignorance to say he hadn't played the game so how does it matter if he is injured ! Seriously... unbelievable logic.
