I get peoples frustrations and I’ve had enough of Enic and levy myself…..off the field we couldn’t ask for more but it is about time they matched that with quality on the field (players who are ready now)
I would say comparing Ange to poch with what Ange has been given….ie young and hungry players …..maybe not a bad thing …..didn’t turn out too bad for poch for a few seasons
Only caveat to that is poch got lucky with Kane coming through at just the right moment
Top 5 and the Europa is what I want and the squad is good enough for that but we need to be lucky with injuries to udogie and VDV as they are now very important with no ready made replacements …..hoping Spence may still surprise a few though
I’m quietly confident about the season but I do want Enic to do one now ….levy can stay but for off field stuff only
Shame our “star” striker and most expensive signing is injured and out after just one game too.
Not convinced we’ll win anything either, but I hope we give Europa and The FA Cup a good go.
The squad is paper thin we will line up with two goalkeepers on the bench against newcastle if vdv not fit.
We also have a huge problem with Ange he will not blood our youngsters only plays boys who have experience.
Hence Donley gone, Lankshear was going but got injured, Devine going. Moore only played to ensure he signed that contract.
We will be the only club to register 4 keepers again.
Levy likes younger players because they are lower risk, he can pay them less and their values have the potential to increase significantly, make no mistake this is all about money.
Levy sees buying ready made players in their late 20`s or early 30`s as high risk.
Every decision Levy makes is a business one.

Looks like 3rd or 4th youngest starting XI in the league, to me
And only 2 subs so far this season over the age of 25 (Richarlison and Werner)
Three teenagers given starts/minutes already (Odobert, Gray, Bergvall)
Think this might not be a very good take

I think if there was a decent option out thereas a LCB or LB backup option we would have gone for it.
Surprised we didn't get a loan in and would be very surprised if we didn't get someone in in January. We can cope with Dragusin Spwnce and Davies providing cover, it's not like we have no one, but it's not ideal.
I've always felt we needed another Jan and Summer window to be exactly where we want to be and I stick with that. But in the mean time I think we have the quality to be competitive top 5 and give the cups a really good go.
Ange doing "miracles" for us is a huge stretch. We had no European football to concentrate on, we spent around £200m and we didn't do anything in the cups nor did we achieve top 4, despite it being in our hands for a large chunk of the season. I know we had injury problems along the way and lost Kane at the start but it's a season that could have given us more.
I think I'm more optimistic about the squad than many on here. It's not been a perfect window and there are still some areas to strengthen, but there is nothing that needs urgently addressing. If a key player gets injured then it can potentially become a problem just like it could for any other team that loses one. No team in this league has as strong a back up option for each of their 1st team players.
The way I see it, the club is buying into the idea that one year on with this manager, the players we already have and the style is only going to get better under him, so there isn't too much need for overspending again. Ange has said it himself that we're much better prepared this season than last and I assume he means that this team has now had longer under him to be familiarised with how to play. If the season therefore should start to go wrong then the onus is more on Ange than deficiencies in the team. We can all agree we have a good defensive line up. If we're leaking goals the way we were last season through sloppy set pieces and bad organisation, who else is there to look at?

It's a pretty disappointing window overall, happy with the exits but incomings don't appear to be players who will close the gap to those above us.
Only Solanke appears to be a signing to go straight into the 1st eleven and his quality is questionable, hopefully he works out as a positive. I'm happy we have picked up some future potential but not at the expense of signing players for the first team right now.
A 5/10 window for me, don't really see any way we will greatly improve. We now need Jan and next summer's window to try to improve the first team.

Ange has spent in 3 windows nearly what Poch did in his entire time at Spurs so yes he absolutely has to deliver.
Poch had a better starting point to be fair but did get rid of some wrongs un too
Ange is under pressure this season and it starts tomorrow….simply down to his tactics ….its early days this season obviously but if he continues to show he can’t mix it up abit and continues the end of last season form for 10 games he is a goner
The exits represent shocking business considering the fees we spent and fees we received. Saying that, glad to get rid of most of them but the lack of replacements not good enough
Also im so sick of arsenal and chelsea always giving each other players. They’re supposed to be fking rivals the pr!cks. Sterling is a fantastic signing for arsenal, much better than martinelli and he is basically risk free with limited wages and no obligations.
I wish we would have bought a single marquee player.

You say a better starting point although this team showed it was capable of top 4 just the one season before the last that Ange joined, and for Poch it was a couple of seasons before he joined. I think there are different advantages and disadvantages you could make a case for if you were to compare them both.

Fair point about starting point …..didn’t really think about it like that , was just thinking the squad overall
I don’t think what Ange did last season was a miracle …we finished pretty much where we should have give or take
I’d say the 2nd half the season was a disaster and if he hadn’t have been so stubborn with his tactics we could have done much better …..injuries didn’t help of course but he could have dropped that high line , even just a bit, to compensate

He does not blood youngsters so he plays younger players if another manager has developed them first.
Meaning our best youngster do not get a look in and we end up naming less subs or two keepers on the bench.
If you are still not sure read Anges book Revloution it says so in there talking about not trusting young players with no experience.
why is everyone glossing over us breaking our transfer record

Fair point about starting point …..didn’t really think about it like that , was just thinking the squad overall
I don’t think what Ange did last season was a miracle …we finished pretty much where we should have give or take
I’d say the 2nd half the season was a disaster and if he hadn’t have been so stubborn with his tactics we could have done much better …..injuries didn’t help of course but he could have dropped that high line , even just a bit, to compensate

Looks like 3rd or 4th youngest starting XI in the league, to me
And only 2 subs so far this season over the age of 25 (Richarlison and Werner)
Three teenagers given starts/minutes already (Odobert, Gray, Bergvall)
Think this might not be a very good take

He does not blood youngsters so he plays younger players if another manager has developed them first.
Meaning our best youngster do not get a look in and we end up naming less subs or two keepers on the bench.
If you are still not sure read Anges book Revloution it says so in there talking about not trusting young players with no experience.
