Twatwell on VAR, unlucky. The guy who didnt give the doku penalty last season at Anfield?

One of his first calls was to overrule the on-field ref and disallow an Arsenal goal for absolutely nothing.

Which game was this?

Its hard to ref games with that jack in the box on speed Arteta bouncing about the side lines appealing for everything and moaning about every adverse decision.

I don't think Arteta does himself any favours the way he behaves on the sidelines. No one likes a moaner, constantly whining in games, whether that's at my age against another vets team, my kids age, or at the highest levels. Just look at how Bruno Fernandes is perceived by many. A whiner who cries wolf so often he isnt taken seriously. With people like this it is human nature to naturally, and probably sub consciously, dislike them, and this may affect decisions. Arteta doesnt have the status to try and have any influence. Managers like Klopp or Conte may also behave in similar ways but they also have the status that perhaps intimidates refs. Arteta doesnt. IMO he'd be best advised to chill out, then may be some decisions go their way and the likes of DJ can take their tin hats off.

Crystal Palace home 2-2 draw PP. Sokratis goal.

The PGMOL have said there’s too much white in the Arsenal home shirt for them to wear them against us on Sunday so they will play in their black away shirts.

"His record in the PL when reffing us isn't that bad for us - 4 wins but that slightly controversial defeat to Aston Villa last season make up the 5 league games he has reffed us"

Which defeat was controversial?

The one with Havertz goal at the end off Cash's hand onto Havertz.

"slightly controversial"

Ah so it's Arteta's fault the refs are corrupt.

Thanks for clarifying that.

corrupt

Corruption isn't a laughing matter and certainly in the UK, is prevalent in almost every sector / industry.

If you've REALLY been paying close attention to English football in the last 30+ years you'd have to be extremely thick or gullible not to realise it.

Corruption follows money and it's the richest league in the World, shocker.

Don't expect a Spurs fan to acknowledge corruption from refs. Two refs have admitted purposely making incorrect decisions that favoured Spurs for their own personal gain.
If they are happy to publicly own up to that what are they keeping quiet?

We all know Spurs have been FA favourites for decades. For the quality of their players / achievements they've always had a disproportionate amount of players in England teams.

This extending into the remit of the referees is no real surprise.

I'm also starting to wonder whether the refs being worse every season in general is an effort to cover up/mask corruption/match fixing.

"You're corrupt!"
...
"No, we're just s|-|it"
