I don't know what match these sky commentators are watching but I thought Burnley were awful. Apart from their keeper, and that tells you all you need to know about this game
Thanks for the thread, Earl
Laters folks.
Full time...oh well thanks for the thread Earl...disappointing home defeat but I think on another day we score that early chance we win today but that's football and we lick our wounds. 8 points from our opening 5 league games...same as last season.
We had a little bit of bad luck, but the bottom line is, we still can’t beat teams with a low block, the same issues this season are the same ones which ultimately led to failure last season. The transfer window for me was awful and Farke’s tactics worry me. That second half performance is worrying and is a repeat of the back end of last season.
Early days but Farke does worry me with his team set ups and use of subs which again today were far too late and he took 2 of our most effective players off in Solomon and Aeronson and afterwards we hardly threatened.
Joseph unfortunately that miss will haunt him....Yes he's young but he is paid as a Striker to be switched on from second one to finish those type of gilt edged chances.
The problem though as I see it is Farke is certainly good enough to get these players into another play offs but can we seriously see him being tactically better than say Wilder and Parker plus there's the Sunderland,Watford and Luton boss I think will probably out wit him too.
David Moyes anyone????
Forget promotion lads...we are a joke and a half..

It’s not early days. He was found out last Christmas when Bamford - of all people - returned to halt the decline. Then he had no idea in the run in or at Wembley. And yet again, he shows to be clueless in his subs. And why we didn’t sign a proper striker in the summer is beyond me.
That defeat today even though it was a little unlucky as we certainly missed 2 absolute sitters and were denied a blatant penalty speaks volumes in terms of our automatic promotion chances and in a nut shell and knee jerkingly possibly I say we have little chance of achieving that goal with DF in charge of team affairs so that's why I reckon a man like David Moyes with the quality Leeds players at his disposal would I think get us top 2 but I know his style of play is considered ugly but would it really be that much worse than what we're watching atm?
If I genuinely thought that last season’s failure was anything down to that first few weeks, and misfortune around how good Ipswich and Leicester were, I’d back down. But it was glaringly obvious that Farke was at fault for team selection and tactics that just didn’t work in the games they needed to. So by not changing anything we’re destiny bound to repeat the same mistakes - as today showed. Yes, we were unlucky today, but you don’t win points by having more possession and a load a half chances on the outside of the box and no imagination for breaking that down. His continual perseverance with Piroe is painful to watch. But gawd please not to DM.
We all need to calm down a bit. Burnley got lucky today with their goal and apart from that did nothing.
I think we looked a bit jaded at times and the international break did nothing for us - playing well before it and then quite a few on duty as well.
Lack of ability to break down teams is a little worrying but we got through them a few times today and without that keeper we would have won that game.
On to Cardiff. Farke ain’t going anywhere soon.
You can bet the Donn will be back though !
We can't keep blaming it on bad luck, it's happening too frequently.
Farke out
Moyes in
If you want Moyes you don’t like football! End of!
Also, I never mentioned bad luck - I said Burnley got lucky!
Champions, undefeated?
One down already,no chance of the other
Also, I never mentioned bad luck - I said Burnley got lucky!
Same thing
The options out there for a proven experienced manager who you would say gets better results than Farke with this set of players are Moyes and Potter...that's it so you can turn your nose up on Moyes and think badly of his pragmatic style but to get out of this league and then survive the following season it is rather naive and unrealistic to expect pretty entertaining football and U know we were spoit in that regard with Bielsa but he was a one off and unfortunately Farke's style I feel even after this early stage is only going to lead to more disappointment.

How DF is still in a job, shocker. We ain't good enough to go up
ADVANCE WARNING:
For me, DF is not exactly drinking in the last chance saloon, but we’re on a pub crawl and The World’s End is the next pub.
