Yep, precisely that⬆️ Especially against 'low blocks'.

Nico' facilitates and complements all the players around him, with his expanisve skillset...
Which is to retain the ball, link-up play, make runs into the channels, use physicality accordingly in duels, carry the ball short + long distances and spearhead the press from the front.
Only he can do all that thankless work, to an outstanding level (and scores goals!)
Nkunku is a superb support forward & finisher in and around the box.
The best part about Nicholas Jackson is that he always present.
Never injured despite the intense industry and heavy bashing he takes week in, week out.
Only he can do all that thankless work, to an outstanding level (and scores goals!)

Correction : Only he can do all that thankless work, to an outstanding level (it's just a shame he doesn't score more goals!)
If you are comparing Jackson to that freak Haaland, then yes naturally that would be the expectation..
Need to temper your expectations to a normal level.
Jackson has scored and contributed in all but one of his matches thus far, continuing where he left-off from the 20 goals contributions in the previous season.
Haaland in a highly functional team that caters to his every needs, has skewed the minds of what people think is normal.
I'm comparing Jackson to the number of 1v1 chances he continually misses
I like him a lot, that finishing touch could happen at any minute & he's suddenly a 20 goal a season striker, but it is an issue with him right now. Don't pretend it isn't.
yeah he was one of the worst in terms of expected goals last year. has some good qualities in transition but decision making and finishing hes not very good...yet
The fear is the great link up stops before the finishing comes to him.
Although I'm glad we didn't bend over for Osimhen, I think the competition might've helped this process. Similar to when we signed Shevchenko, it actually pushed Drogba to kick on.
