Hope he is on the bench in the ropey

posted 3 days, 22 hours ago

He can’t even make our bench.

Bergval could play right mid maybe.

Or we could play Gray at RB and push Porro up.

He’s going to play Johnson and Odobert all season - or as much of it as he lasts. Just got to get used to it.

I know what you mean about the leeway and support he’d get from fans.

But if he comes in and everyone can see how far off PL football he is, it kills all the mystique and hype around him. He’s 16 or 17, it’s a heavy burden.

The idea that Ange is the kind of manager to give youth a chance is a complete fallacy. Poch trusted youth more. Ange just plays the same side every week. Give the kids a bloody chance.

It wouldn't be fair to throw Mikey into a struggling side and expect him to work miracles. We need to be patient and gradually give him minutes. I'd like to see him given a few sub appearances in the Europa League.

Fridge, we don`t often agree. But it is a travesty that none of these youngsters are being given a chance by the manager. Keep picking the same players week after week, and no surprise you keep getting the same results.

Has anyone seen enough of Moore to judge if he is good enough at present.
I watched him in the u17 euro game in May , think it was against France and he was poor in possession , lost the ball numerous times attempting to dribble and kept running down blind alleys. Then out of nowhere he hit one in the top bins.
Personally don’t think he is anywhere ready. Just my thoughts …

There's a huge leap between performing well in the youth games for club and country and being able to handle the Premier League. Not saying Moore won't make it but he's probably not ready yet.

Throwing the kids in won't automatically turn things around. It could easily make things worse!

I think the desperation comes from us signing BJ, Werner and a risky one if odobert. Not sure how we've got it so wrong in those wide positions. So many failures in the forward areas.

Have to agree. Just sad we are not at that level yet where we are winning games comfortably or controlling games enough to give youngsters a few minutes.
When Poch did it I don’t actually think he had much choice but if you look at our so called competition how many are doing it. ?

Christ, we're pinning our hopes on a 17yr old who's never played a Premier League game,,,,couldn't do much worse tbh actually and that says it all

But what if he’s a success? People will call you a Mickey Moore outfit?

Defo not ready to start, it's the kind of idiotic thing we don't need, Bergvall and Grey yes

Will Lankshear pulled a hammy in the reserves 2 matched in. The leap from reserve football to first team is huge and here is an interesting fact :

Spurs have the 2nd second youngest squad in the whole of the prem. Look it up.

So all this BS about Ange not trusting youth is pondlife from tadpoles. Swim along.

Oh I see that attention seeking, spitting his dummy out fish called Sandy is back. Just when the season couldn't get any worse 😂

Ange's number 1 concern was stamping his authority, rather than ensuring that appropriate advice was taken to ensure that the correct players were signed.
Typical of the bloke.

Yes Moore should play a part, i am have seen a lot of him and being bought off the bench to bring him up to speed with the game would do his development wonders.

We play Valencia Tuesday and i would expect Moore to be in that squad sadly.

Ange will not play youngsters. Would rather play players out of position than trust a youngster. They have had to of been blooded by somebody else. Rumblings are that is why Simon Davies is leaving soon....

Ange will not play youngsters.

Odobert is 19 and played a part since he joined.

I mean he will not play our youngsters. So he will only play them if they have experience of mens football. Odobert, Bergvall, gray have played senior games for other teams.

It is in his book and one of my many bug bares about him sadly mate.

Our youngsters have shown potential only and it looks like we are doing the right thing by loaning them out. Donley, Phillips and Scarlett didn't start for their clubs in lower leagues over the weekend. That says they are not ready for the prem yet otherwise if they were that good they would have more starts under their belt.

Out of the crop in the U21's only Lankshear and Moore are potentially ready. I have no problem with him protecting Moore and Lankshear is injured.
