When we beat you last year it felt like you were a broken team there for the taking

This time you feel like a good team making individual errors

Personally I think Amorim is rotating just a bit too much at the moment.
There's manager who never rotate, and there's managers who have a good balance, then there's Amorim. He seems to be on the complete opposite scale of a manager who never rotates. It's definitely causing us issues.

That's a fair assessment, he might be uncertain about his best XI or simply trying to give everyone a chance to build match fitness.

What’s beyond doubt is that we have too many players who hide and make costly errors, too many who lack the aggression and work rate needed on the pitch, too many who don't take responsibility. As it stands, we’re far too easy to play against. We knew Amorim had a tough job ahead, but based on this evidence, the new manager bounce has been too short-lived, with these cowards reverting to type once again.

I thought subbing Bruno was odd. He is really the only player we have who can create something consistently.

As soon as he went off, our creativity disappeared, though we did become more secure from counters. It may have been a case of damage limitation or an attempt to see how we cope without Bruno. Either way, it didn’t work, much like several other aspects of our performance. The remainder of this season feels like a learning exercise, hopefully to make us competitive next year. Unfortunately, with the issues in this squad, we’re likely to see more disappointing moments than positive ones.

We are getting exactly what we deserve. None of this is Ruben's fault. He's come into a toxic and dysfunctional football club that is littered with poor footballers and incompetent people running the whole thing.

This predicament we find ourselves in is mostly down to the Glazers and their stooges. However the last 6 months is solely down to INEOS and a monumentally awful U-turn. They were 1 million percent going to sack Erik and they bottled it and then had to do it anyway after 10 games of a new season.

Ruben gets a free pass this season even if we finish 15th. This squad isn't his and it isn't close to being good enough. It's not even good enough for Europa League or Conference League football in my opinion. We will finish no higher than 10th and a bottom half finish is definitely possible for us. It's exactly what we will deserve too.

I wouldn't say it's the players particularly but the whole thing which includes them. The fans are always at war with each other too.

There's so many people to blame for where we are now as a club.

Glazers have to be top dogs for the blame part. Woodward too who was a Glazer dog anyway.

Managers have wasted so much money on players who are simply not good enough too. I genuinely can't quite believe the amount of dross we've had in last 10 years. It's staggering.

So we are in partial agreement, yea. The club is very toxic but mostly it's just filled with crap players and crap players don't win you football matches consistently.

Erik's players didn't cover themselves in glory today did they? What was the goalkeeper and Martinez doing? 🙃

I think we are going to have to put this stadium rebuild on hold. The squad needs gutting.

Tonight has quite a lot of individual errors. Offensively we still didn’t do enough. Yes, lots of work to do but we all knew that. Every new manager etc has inherited a squad that needed 2-3 years work minimum.

As SE85 said, I think the stadium plans need to be put on hold for a short while.

As for Amorim, I will only start to make judgments at the end of next season really. By then he will have had a proper window, pre season and had time to assess the squad and implant his ideas. Perhaps not fully but there needs to be progress by then and by that I mean a solid Top 4 position

If he hasn't fixed the corner problem by the end of the season he needs to be sacked.
We will lose every single match if it continues.
Currently, shockingly, I would only feel safe on corners if Maguire was playing as he's just an absolute unit of a player.
