Malacia as a LWB offers nothing going forward. With Rashford as well, it's just not working down that side.

I just think Maz might be better there instead. I think he's being wasted where he is at CB. He brings the ball forward much better.

My dad always always talked aboot Footballing intelligence… some the game just comes naturally to them, but most have to do the basics to read the game.
Some take it further..
Scholes & Zidane I’d say we’re naturals in reading the game.
Lampard, worked his ass off, head always on a swivel.
These guys already developed a mental picture of what was happening around them.
Then you get players like Rashford… but the thing is, he ain’t a dumb player, but his regression is depressing to see..

His ball retention in basic areas of the game is absolutely awful. Five/ten yard passes, simple control, competing with a defender etc… he is so poor it’s untrue
