Tbf its Saliba and Gabriel vs Haaland. They absolutely nullified him last season but I think they have a tougher challenge now

It’ll be extremely tough to stop city scoring

Not sure it will this early in the season, Inter gave a very good blueprint of how to defend.

Tough to know, it's easy to look at our games last season and say it can be done, but I wouldn't be surprised if you are pushing for a win more this time around, whereas last time I felt like you just wanted to avoid losing.

Plus Haaland looks a lot sharper right now than he has been in a while.

I think it will be really difficult, mainly due to the fatigue of playing away, also we don't have Odegaard who not only helps in attack but defence

tbf haalands not exactly been a big game player has he? i mean gomez pocketed him one game. i dont remember him scoring that many in big games especially winners or opening goals.

maybe im wrong and his goal stats are alright? i just feel like rodri and gundogan etc have scored the big goals. Or more i remember those idk.

3 in 7 vs liverpool, 2 in 6 vs arsenal, 6 in 7 vs utd (2 pens) 5 in 5 vs chelsea (2 pens) and 3 in 4 vs spurs (2 pens)

not terrible, not gr8. idr him being the difference in many games vs the top 6 personally and half the top 6 havent been gr8 in recent times.

We can't play this game for 90mins in the hope of keeping haaland quiet, without showing intent in attack.

By all means park the bus but fack me try to create some openings at least on the break

We've done well in previous fixtures to do so but I don't see us keeping Haaland quiet forever.

I think tiredness plus our lack of attacking threat will have us penned in for large parts of the game and eventually we'll get worn down.

Really hope I'm wrong but my gut is saying 1-0 / 2-0 win for the cheats.

I hope we can create chances against Citybecause there was zero creativity against Atlanta. 2 chances which were dreadful misses. Martinelli is rubbish atm. Saka did fack all. Trossard should have done more but wasnt much better. The ref looked like him. Only Raya has any credibility from the Atlanta game.
Our defence is good and can keep city out but cant keep relying on Raya to bail them out. He has made key saves against Wolves Villa Spurs Brighton and Atlanta.

Our midfield and attack need to improve

Lil' Bernie Silva and the wingers will be the threat.

Iirc he missed a pretty good chance in the last game that he probably wouldn't on current form. I'm not so confident in parking the bus today.
