Man Utd will be a good yard stick. Bang average side with only a past haunting reputation to scare anyone.
If we get rolled over by Utd comfortable, then we can kiss goodbye to a successful league campaign, as our mindset is still in the "Spursy" mode.
That's not to say I think we will roll over, I'm a bit agnostic about it. Open mind, show me what you've got lads.

Hopefully I am wrong, but I don`t see Spurs getting anything at Old Trafford. They haven`t got it in them to beat any so called big side on the road these days. I doubt they have got more than half a dozen wins in the past 120 combined visits to Old Trafford, Anfield, Emirates or Stamford Bridge. Shockingly bad record.
So many variables in this next PL game.
Which Spurs will turn up?
Which Utd will turn up?
Will they go toe to toe with us, or will they park the bus and look to counter.
They only thing we really know is that we will have a proper go at them. Whether we show enough quality or not, in the final third, will determine the outcome.
And may be this is where Angeball falls down, at the moment. We have to play close to our best to win. Some days that just doesn't happen, for every team, so some days you just need to grind. Can we grind? Can we smash and grab. The very best teams can. City will. Arsenal do all the time.
We don't seem to have " if we cannot win, we will not lose" mode and i think that is what has cost us away from home a fair bit.
But IMO that kinda comes from the players. Knowing when to go hard, knowing when to perhaps take stock and sit in, get some control back or take the sting out of a game. It doesn't demand a change in philosophy, or a completely different Plan B, just game management.
We're a young team, there's been a lot of changes so this is something that comes with experience.

That's the thing Sandy, they are not a big side anymore apart from reputation.
We all saw Ange give the speech to the Australian side about doing it for their families etc etc, well Old Trafford is Spurs' sliding doors moment. If we win, it could launch a good season, but if we lose, not sure what our ceiling could be. Look at all the other teams and the gap that will be there if we pick up nothing from Old Trafford after our start and we'd need to show top four form for the rest of the season to make the conference.
Our best shot this season is Europa League

United are a pretty average side these days, but we all know that Spurs will find a way to gift them the three points. Something not right with the mentality of the club.
Arsenal can come to WHL and win three on the bounce, expect Chelsea to come to WHL and win three on the bounce. Liverpool, Man United regularly win at WHL, but Spurs just cannot buy a win at any of those clubs, no matter how good or bad Spurs or those teams are.

Devonshire we know how it will go. No point in trying to be positive, when the players continually get rolled over at any of the bigger clubs, no matter how good they play.
Nothing would please me more than a Spurs win. But we all know it won't happen.

…..
What is funny is Man Utd play like a world class side but have the worst finishing team in football history that ruins the good work. So basically tactically we are very good but player quality wise we would be non-league level.
It was Sheff Utd last game of last season.

Not so bad really
Next four away games Brighton, Man United, Crystal Palace, Man City. Don't see much return from those games. 4 points at best I suspect, could be even fewer.

----------------------------------------------------------------------
Lets just wait and see how things go.
You're predicting more doom and gloom than the Chancellor.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Devonshire we know how it will go. No point in trying to be positive, when the players continually get rolled over at any of the bigger clubs, no matter how good they play.
Nothing would please me more than a Spurs win. But we all know it won't happen.

Man Utd will be a good yard stick. Bang average side with only a past haunting reputation to scare anyone.
…..
What is funny is Man Utd play like a world class side but have the worst finishing team in football history that ruins the good work. So basically tactically we are very good but player quality wise we would be non-league level.

Next four away games Brighton, Man United, Crystal Palace, Man City. Don't see much return from those games. 4 points at best I suspect, could be even fewer.
WWWL would be perfection

Beat a relegated side, drew with a promoted side and lost to the only decent side, although played well.

If we get rolled over by Utd comfortable, then we can kiss goodbye to a successful league campaign, as our mindset is still in the "Spursy" mode.
That's not to say I think we will roll over, I'm a bit agnostic about it. Open mind, show me what you've got lads.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Hopefully I am wrong, but I don`t see Spurs getting anything at Old Trafford. They haven`t got it in them to beat any so called big side on the road these days. I doubt they have got more than half a dozen wins in the past 120 combined visits to Old Trafford, Anfield, Emirates or Stamford Bridge. Shockingly bad record.

All depends upon how your favorite manager chooses the squad to play.!
