Yes, he was seething when he collected his League Winners Medal.
£40 million was an amazing bit of business for him
He may not have pace but he has real football intelligence and he's only going to get better.
As for Pep he never stops a player leaving if they want to.
Will be a shame to see him continually wasted for England in the tournaments to come.

Without Southgate there should be less chance but he should be in ahead of Foden. On this form he has to be starting.
Has to be England's number 10 and also to be given a consistent run in that role. He might just be better than Foden.
Foden's a completely different sort of player, there's no reason both of them can't play in the same England team.
Due to injury, Foden hasn't even started a game yet this season but apparently people think he's finished.

I think people are judging based on what he brings to England and time and time again Foden doesn't turn up for them.
Tbf Fodens struggled with England at times but then again its under Safegate so :/ means nothing really.
Palmer would be suited to the role Grealish played under Carsley.

Foden being absolutely shiiiiit for England is a reason why they shouldn’t play together for England.

Foden will flourish under a competent manager, like he does at City.
Only Southgate could play him as a left sided Wing Back after he'd flourished all season playing mainly on the right for his club.
Still blaming Southgate for Foden’s failures. A ‘competent’ manager wouldn’t even start Foden for England given how often he stinks up the place.

Yes, only an idiot would even think about including the Prem POTY in the squad, what was he thinking?
The PR job that is the poty shouldn’t be relevant to picking the England side when said player is completely shiiiiit for his country. Sadly Southgate went against his better judgement where he rewards players that play well for him, and there’s been numerous players that have, Foden isn’t one of them.
Back on subject after we were so rudely interrupted.
There are parallels with Sancho here as he wanted to leave City and then did well at his next club.
If Palmer want's to stay at Chelsea then he might have a sparkling career in front of him with the right coaching.
Alternatively Chelsea might want/have to sell him with United being the most obvious destination. Could he break the mould and actually become a better player there?

Don't think they can both fit into the same team and Palmer is the more natural talent and better player IMO.

Possibly. He did okay, but I can at least understand that one given the cm options. Not the same with the positions Foden plays where with have numerous players that outperform him for England.
I haven't seen much of United this season and I don't recall too many people raving over Mainoo.

In fairness though Hounslow, Palmer is on the record saying he wanted to stay, but go on loan for a season. Pep flatly refused him the loan option saying he only had 2 choices, stay or go.
