Bamford needs to be playing for the u21s. He needs minutes otherwise just looks so rusty.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Agree as PB coming on just reduces us to 10 players and that is being deadly serious. Shocking use of subs and Farke's judgement on that score I think is amongst the worst in this league, coach wise, very poor judgement and killed all our momentum at the time we were completely dominating.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Missing the point Macca, Bamford has had next to no minutes, in the old days he would have a couple of run out with the U21's to get some minutes in his legs he's not had that opportunity. He's bound to be leggy anyone would be.
I thought personally he played more of a role than Piroe did.

People talk about Bamford but Piroe was far worse
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Absolutely. And with no excuses either.
49ers have had a lot of stick that I think quite a bit was over the top. But they seem to have got away with the signing of Piroe which I think has been the biggest mistake. A big chunk of money on someone that doesn’t fit and was never going to. Very similar to the Rodrigo signing in the Prem.
WBA losing tonight helps our cause but Sunderland look like being the "Ipswich'" surprise package and with Burnley and Shef Utd strong contenders for the top 2 it is imperative we don't lose this Friday otherwise it's going to be a long old slog with the injuries we have and if our usual January transfer window inactivity happens then I personally fear we will come up short but fingers crossed the lads can do the business against Sunderland and my own doubts about Farke are at least put on the back burner for the time being.

We’re seemingly always worse after Farke’s subs but maybe our bench isn’t as strong as some think... certainly today it wasn’t. I have some sympathy for him tonight… There were some heavy legs out there and we play Friday.
Point there isn’t a terrible result.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
That’s true. But he’s had strong benches and made a mess. And even with lesser options due to injuries surely you don’t make subs that will obviously make us worse.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Not disputing he has the Midas touch in reverse with his subs… just had some sympathy today. We had no wide men left to bring on and I’m hoping he pulled largie and Gnonto with an eye on Friday. I’ve no idea what formation he was trying to play at the end. Looked like the players didn’t either… or they were too knackered to remember.

If he wants players like Joffy to have an impact in these games he needs to give them minutes in games such as against Coventry. Utilise those opportunities for a free hit instead of waiting for a Hail Mary. Did the same last season and it’s so frustrating. Joseph and Anthony both should have had much more minutes during our winning run last season.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Not sure how much of a role Gelhardt will play, all indications were pointing to a loan and possible exit in January, Farke sidestepped questions about him at a recent press conference which seemed to indicate that he wasn't part of the plans, but we're in crisis.
Might figure more in the next few months than Farke planned.

We knew that Solomon and James would be missing or could be missing for a few games when we played Coventry. At 2-0 up that would have been an ideal time to give players like Joffy minutes just in case we need them. I don’t think Joffy was in the plans and I don’t disagree with that but you have to adapt.

Wrong subs made at the wrong time, we were so clearly on top and he basically killed the momentum. Farke has hit out at critics in relation to his use of subs in the Cardiff game but quite clearly in the game he got it very wrong and it was obvious at the time not just with hindsight. I think is a terrible result. I never want to lose any game but it felt like Farke almost gave up the chance of winning.

I'm not as confident about us beating them Outwood with the players we have out in Solomon,James and Amps but a jammy 1 nil for Leeds will do me but by all accounts tonight against Derby they were pretty impressive but yes they have lost away to Plymouth and Watford so they're not infallible but then who is in this league? At home though Sunderland are a tough nut to crack so I'm interested to see how we match up against them.

Agree Piroe doesnt fit Farke's system and so a waste
of resources. More so, Bamford's been robbing the club blind for three seasons with no return. And he's not going to get better. Add Solomon and his sick note 50k a week. That means 3 players wasting a huge part of our budget. Only difference, Bamford's knee pad fan boys gobbling at the PB altar defending him.

I still don't think PB has got the ability against top half Championship opposition anymore Dennis and yes the old Bamford that played under Bielsa would be a joy to see again but once your speed and reactions drop off just fractionally which I think has been the case for PB the last couple of seasons in all honesty due to his many injury lay offs which then presents the catch 22 of needing minutes to get over the rustiness but that shouldn't be at the expense of damaging Leeds's match winning prospects in tight games.
It's all about opinions Dennis and you still champion his cause as you truly believe given the opportunity he will hit a rich vein of form and go on one of his goal scoring streaks like he did after that beautiful FA cup goal against Peterborough...I just think he's done but if Im proved wrong you can give me a big I told you so.
I personally think that FA cup goal and the fine goal scoring run he went on afterwards was the beginning of his Swan song at Leeds United, a last hoorah and a reminder of his undoubted ability when all the stars aligned in his favour and similar to his wonderful hatrick against Aston Villa, just not enough of these classy PB moments unfortunately because he has been blighted by shocking injuries and so I think he should be allowed to exit stage left now gracefully without doing any more harm to himself and the team.
