Our game in 19/20 was irrelevant to be fair as we had already won the league before playing at the Etihad.

----------------------------------------------------------------------
The whole list is a waste of time. Point I was making was the timing of the game was the business end of the season. Where a win in these title matches almost bags you the title. Arsenal shat it. Could have went and toom the title that day but showed an inferiority complex and held out for a draw. Its not a "narrative" its what happened.

Id be curious out of that list how many of them meetings took place april onwards? And of them how many were matches when the title was on the line. Id bet without knowing the team winning them crunch games will have went on to win the league almost everytime. Ironically the only 1 I can think of that didnt was ourselves in 13/14 when we beat city then threw it away.

Tu meke. Yous shat it pal. No escaping it.

"Shat it "
People just wanted us to go out and eat 5 or 6. They were gutted when we went there, stopped City from playing and had the best chances. If we had a better striker than Jesus we would have won and it would have been a tactical masterclass.

Wasn't just mane, although he was the main culprit. Van dijk and Trent would do it if they sensed the game was getting away from them. Dirty, dirty tactics. But hey, it's not arsenal, so nobody cares.

We created more than klopps Liverpool did at the Etihad last season. I'm not sure you understand what you're talking about, or maybe you're just biased.

We don't have attackers in their peak years at the level of mane and Salah. Even then klopp still never achieved what you're asking us to achieve.

"Shat it" - no mate. I could argue Liverpool have shat it every time they've been in a close title race. 08/09, 13/14, and a couple of years under klopp.

You're still not taking my point. We went there in november and got a point, decent result away at the time of the season. Very similar to what youve just done last week. Ive already said I dont get the criticism yous revieved on the game the other week.

You went there on a title decider last season. Everyone knows if a winner came out that game theyd go on amd win it. City were missing players and had been miles off it against us a week prior. Go for the jugular, go and earn your title instead of playing safe and hoping for bit of luck.

We did sh!t the bed in 13/14. Ive already said that on this too. 08/09 we never played a big title decider at the business end. We played away to utd in march I think and won 4-1.

The last time we played a big title on the line match was 21/22 and we drew 2-2 having went for it. I knew that day wed lost the league so was gutted but at least proud we gave it a go.

Yous lost the league at city that day and didnt even try to win it. Thats the difference. If your proud of your teams efforts that day crack on pal, I dont give a fack. The rest of us watched and saw yous play safe.

Are you high? Crack? Meth? Which one?

Bernardo Silva spoke about it after our RECENT game. Which went fairly similarly to the one you just described. You know, the one where we were leading until the ref decided to send one of our players off at half time for nothing.

Funnily enough, this is what he had to say after the actual game you're referencing.

Was quite complimentary of our high press, yes we defended low at times but that's because we don't have prime Salah or Mane in our team.

We don't quite have the tools to go all out against pep at the etihad. Klopp did, and still couldn't manage it.

posted on 3/10/24

My apologies. It was rodri wasnt it that blasted your efforts.

Looks its all opinions. I felt yous did have the tools last season. For the reasons I outlined. Players missing for city, them not playing great going into it. I was outspoken at the time on it and btw its not some vendetta I have on arsenal. I was very much looking for yous to win that game. Watching city sweep up title after title is becoming tedious.

Again my point is we dont get these big title deciders late in the season that often. My personal opinion is that they are like cup finals and it should be about going all out for the win.

Easier said than done. How can you go all out with an OAP jorginho in midfield and a broken down jesus up front?

Also what players did city have missing? It was just the goalie from what I remember, and that Ortega is a very good replacement.

posted on 3/10/24

Kyle walker was out. I remember that. Id have to look up the teams for others. I just remember that was the big thing going into it.

No. The point is you all seem to have a bee in your bonnet about being criticised for your performance that day. People criticised because of the negative approach. Nobody criticised us because we had a go and but ultimately didnt get the win.

You play negatively you can expect criticism when it doesnt work out. Its always been that way. Its not some arsenal conspiracy.

You'd think Liverpool beat Man City away in the league every other season the ways there fans go on and go and on!

Strange thing to put on an article written by an arsenal fan questioning why you are being criticised for not winning there. I'll leave you all to agree with 1 another that the worlds against you.

Well done on trying and failing
Our game plan was almost perfect and nearly won us the game. In such games fine margins are the difference and we fell a smidgen short. But still got the point that left us top. That was not the decisive moment by any means.

We tried to win the game and had a game plan as good as Liverpools.

But thats not how most neutrals see it and thats the point im trying to raise.

This whole article is about why did arsenal get criticised for playing a certain way that day and the other week. I have simply pointed out that as a neutral, I felt you played negatively, as did many other neutrals. If you and all the other arsenal fans dont agree thats fine. But stop getting you knickers in a twist about other fans opinions on that game.
