Team game. No issues with whos scoring the goals so long as someone is and the team is set up for goals to be scored from various players.
The striker job for Leeds is not easy. A lot of work to be done off the ball. Joseph performances in the whole have been very good.

How many chances has he missed? The one on one that no other striker could have created for themselves with the tackle and sprint.
The turn and shot that went over the bar.
Cant think of any others so either he isnt getting in the right positions or its something else.
Personally i think its something else. When we attack invariably we have 1-2 players in the box versus 8 defensive shirts. Not easy for any striker in the world to score goals.
Gnonto, Ramazani, James, Aaronson, Piroe, Solomon, should all be targeting 10 goals each. Struijk 5. Bogle and Firpo a collated 5.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Piroe has targeted himself to get 20+ goals this season.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

If he started 40+ games, he'd get that.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I very much doubt he would get anywhere near 20 goals in Farke's system starting 40+ games and I doubt there's many of us would want him to start all those games.
He might however get near his target coming on as an impact sub.

Bamford was top of the pops for a couple of seasons for missed chances, injury prone and imo quite an average striker relatively speaking to other strikers in the top divisions.
What is it with this fixation with Bamford, I find it bizarre…he seems to have engineered not so much a football contract, more a marriage contract?

^^^

In a nutshell right there.

And Bamford's fan club act like his family members
who helped pay for the wedding reception. Personally
hurt by any suggestion that he's finished.

Which he is.

This January window the club needs to take action.
No more d 1 kcing around like every other window.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
basing your assessment of Bamford on last season Batty? A season when he scored more goals per 90 minutes than any other Leeds player and his shooting accuracy was better than other player at the club. Maybe you need to stop focussing on one player and realise that without him the rest of the squad should have done so much better.

I actually do think Joseph will come good but it might need another season before his composure for example that more experienced strikers gain but don't always perfect bares fruit but certainly I think that miss against Burnley Joseph scores that comfortably next season but hopefully I'm pleasantly surprised by Joseph's improvement trajectory and he bags the winner against Sunderland.... Also without labouring the point it really is utterly shambolic recruitment to only have Joseph and PB as our only out and out first team centre forward options.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
That’s the word I was looking for, Macca, composure. It only comes from experiencing those pressure moments again and again. I think we are all agreed he is a raw talent. And talent needs time. I would still start him, but bring Piroe on after an hour. However, if Piroe keeps scoring, then Joseph has to drop down the pecking order.

Reflecting back on this while Joseph was originally first choice striker, Piroe now has 6 goals and most efficient goals per mins ratio in division, so good decision to change things up.

Lots of hype and pressure on Joseph and just not happening for him goals-wise for us, hope that this is a good learning year for him and he comes good next season.

We don’t play to his strengths and I think there is more to come from him this season. Piroe certainly can score and has lots of experience to come in late and see the game out.

Joseph’s most annoying decision this season for me was in the 95th minute against Sunderland. Trying to keep the ball at the corner flag and failing resulted in the free kick which led to the goal.

Mind you Aaronson’s missed attempt was also bad and of course the bounce and Meslier did the rest.

A team effort I guess 😏

Yes indeed … some of us had already called this (but I guess it doesn’t count coming from me 🤣)
