I'd avoid those Sheffield relatives at Christmas, they're going to be miserable.

Just looking at the Burnley highlights.
Needed a crooked ref to get a point against Preston. Perfectly good goal ruled out for offside.

Sunderland have been the best side we’ve faced in the league so far. I think we can achieve 2 points per game this season, and I can’t see that not getting us promoted.

Morning all🌞.

Sorry to disappoint you Batty, but I think your relatives have a point-ish😁.

If not for their points deduction, Sheff U would be top of the division now; the only team unbeaten so far and only conceding 3 goals. I also agree with some of the comments above … Burnley, Sunderland are both looking very strong atm … and then when you add West Brom, Norwich into the mix, I don’t think this league is going to be the pushover some have suggested.

Ok … but now some balance and hope 😁 … it’s still far too early to be making any meaningful predictions and so we’ve got as good a chance as any of those mentioned to get autos. Let’s see where we are at Christmas. You can come off that ledge now👍😁💙.

In first nine games we’ve played

Burnley H

sheffield A
Sunderland A
West brom A
Norwith A

They have played

Norwich A

They literally couldnt have picked an easier set of fixtures.

Yep, well it’s going to be a cracking game in a couple of weeks … I fancy us to beat them and then the bragging rights will return to West Yorkshire in the Batty household👍😁

Yep, finish above the Blades and I'd say we've won this league and interestingly both their goals came from the Palace young superstar prospect they have on loan which the way Palace are struggling may mean he is recalled in January which may significantly weaken Shef Utd's forward line and help our cause to finish above them.

It was Sunderland last week now Sheffield United we have to fear apparently. We are Leeds we don't fear anybody

League has taken shape and we can see the players who are involved. Imo, nobody is turning up to this party which should start to pull away from the rest.

Sunderland - Best team we've played this season comfortably. They looked nailed on for playoffs if they keep playing like they are. They have a very young side which might come back to bite them.

Sheff Utd - On paper our biggest threat. Should be top if not for a points deduction.

Burnley - Not firing at there best atm but they are still 3rd. Always expected to be in the hunt.

West Brom - Similar to Norwich. Playoffs at best as they lack the quality to compete with us, Burnley and Sheff Utd. Will be in the mix for top 6 again.

Norwich - Scoring for fun atm. Lost there two best players in the summer and signed a bunch of randoms, but Nunez and Sainz have stepped up to help Sargeant. Playoff contenders.

Then we have ourselves. Beet team on paper and probably the best on grass too. We do have a tenancy to mess things up, throw points away willy nilly and everyone wants us to fail. Should get top 2 but this is Leeds after all.

To be honest I wasn’t that impressed with Sunderland. They had a couple of decent spells but when we pressed them first half they looked like rabbits in the headlights. We should have buried them when we were in total control.

A decent young side but I think that might be their problem over the season and they will fall away. Might make top six though.

We love giving them things to celebrate though 🤣🤣🤣

The only team that's stopping us from fulfilling our destiny is ourselves, we should sit comfortably top.

Portsmouth should have won that at a canter.
WBA played that game with the handbrake on, on Farke's instructions.
Sheff Wed should have won that game by more than two goals
Hull see above
Burnley, Joseph scores, Solomon doesn't slip, we win that game, much the better side through-out.
Cardiff see Wednesday and Hull
Coventry, good side we should have won by five or six.
Norwich another game we should have won
Sunderland, oh Messlier!

We could have and maybe should have won nearly all our games, our injuries are a concern as is Tanaka's programme in the next fortnight but LIW is right, we've had a tougher start than most not helped by the fact we keep shooting ourselves in the foot and Farke's tactics.
Chill Batty, this weekend hasn't worked out too bad for us after all.

Absolutely right, Stoopo. If Ramazani or Aaronson or Gnonto put their chances away, Meslier’s mistake is forgotten. This is happening game after game. We are simply not clinical enough in front of goal and worse than that, when we took the lead, we did not go after Sunderland and put the game to bed. I can’t remember a single shot on target after that. Farke stifles our team at times. It wasn’t Mes who lost us two points, it was Farke.

I'd say one team will be more feared than any other in this league at this moment & that team is Leeds United.

Already should have beaten Norwich, Burnley & Sunderland, can't take much from the West Brom game because it was basically purely a mission to gain a clean sheet. Friday night's performance was fantastic. Going to a club with a perfect home record having not conceded a goal, with a squad weakened by the loss of Ampadu, Gruev, Solomon & James, & performing like that was possibly Farke's finest moment as our coach to date. Made the pathetic ending all the more sickening.

I just hope he sticks with Piroe. He is the clinical finisher we so often moan we don't have.
