AussieGlue, or Ange, A Tactical Dunce!

Among the players who did not let Aussieglue down, in either half, were Vicario, Romero, VDV, Kulusevski, Maddison, Johnson, Porro, Udogie, Solanke, and, believe or not, Timo Werner!

Romero thou not the main one he was.at fault for the winner....absolutely on his heels while welbeck had a free header.

I mean I know they say it’s a game of two halves, but that was f*cking ridiculous.

Actually glad there’s an international break so I don’t have to think about Spurs for a while.

Ted, your hero Welbeck was like a traffic cone when Welbeck headed the winner. Wot you got to say about that?

And were you watching the same 1st half as the rest of us. Sours should have been out of sight, despite Welbeck missing ONE chance, Spurs also missed several promising positions.

The goals conceeding were just down to rank bad defending, nothing to do with high lines.

Let's be honest Ange as nice a person he seems, is tactically not a good enough manager , he's won trophies in micky mouse leagues but will never be a success in the PL due to his inability to see out games .

Up until recently i've not let Spurs results bother me but after yesterday my pizz was well and truly boiled.

The first 20 mins of that second half should have been set in stone of sit back defend and use our pace on the break ,basic school boy stuff , as Brighton had no choice but to go for it. A third goal would have killed them off instantly , but no we did our classic formation of 2-8 , it's who we are mate , fack off !

If Levy had any nuts he would sack Ange today and get Tuchel in before United do.

To say it could have ended 1-1 in the first half...well it could but it wouldn't have been a fair reflection. We were definitely the better side and had the better chances. If anything we weren't clinical enough. Already in like the first 10 minutes we had 3 good chances - Werner's poor cross to BJ, Kulu's run and shot, a lobbed ball to put Maddison through. Got lucky with the second goal but then BJ had a great chance to make it 3-0. Brighton had 1 or 2 good chances as you'd expect from a decent home team.

It was all about that second half. Their manager reacted well and gave them a kick up the butt. They came straight out of the blocks pressing us and our players got caught out. They were useless and Ange never reacted to it.

I'm not advocating for him to go (yet) but I think that at least a Potter type might want to retain some of that attacking style and also react better with in game management when it's not going well. Ange is like a car that only has a 5th gear. Sometimes you need to be able to put it in 1st.

Actually Ted, there is a reverse gear as well, since we appear to be going backwards.

Even a 31 year old rookie manager shows ange that actually changing tactics is often necessary
It’s obvious Brighton were going to push forward in second half - so why not tighten it up a bit, maybe don’t push fullbacks all the way up and make it a 4 at the back ?? Why not put Biss on to be the enforcer for second half?? Don’t get it

I have the game tape. Tell me what minute in the game you think our defence "was in position" and I will tell you exactly where they were.
Sandy, mate, you're either blind or stupid...which is it?
I can replay any portion of the game you want.
