Ok, when?
Arsenal are like a better spurs. Good, but still bad
Thanks to the various non Arsenal fans π
As an a supporter of the club my answer would be it depends and if you mean a sackable offence then no.
We're aiming for the PL Title and a big run into the CL. An FA Cup or League Cup is great but not a true measure of whether a manager is doing a good or bad job - it does of course buy time for a manager not doing a good job (see United).
What Arteta should be judged on is progressing and learning from his mistakes - he's generally done that and has done a brilliant job especially for his first gig, the club has also backed him 100% when I, for instance wouldn't have.
What he's now finding out the hard way is that having a small squad, not trusting youth players at the right time and relying heavily on a couple of individuals will catch up on you at some point. We were "luckier" than most with injuries over the last few seasons and perhaps that luck has now ended, this is where what is probably Arteta's biggest weakness is shown up - a lack of proper squad management.
We likely won't get as close to the title this season but if Arteta learns from his mistakes then that's still moving in the right direction to a point.
Either way he's built up more than enough good will to remain in charge until things get a lot uglier than not winning an FA or League Cup. The PL & CL are incredibly tough to win and we've been on the right track.
