Morning All.
So does anyone know how this new Europa format works? I can’t find a table so not certain how many points we have (I believe it’s 6) but how many do you need to qualify, when will we know? Why don’t they just leave things alone!!!!

Updated
In the old days (about 2 years ago) 10 points was usually enough to go through to the knock out stages, so based on that one more win and a draw should do it?

Found the table!
So apparently the top 8 go through to the quarters and then there are play offs for the other places!
Morning all ☕️
Sizzle not the time to be looking at the table.
Let's make sure of completing the fixtures without any Spursy wobble famous to the club first!!😬🤔
Good chance to rest a few - if possible
But I like looking at tables!

Already seen an article today about Dortmund being Spursy after going 2 up then losing.

think we might go relatively strong in the home games
wonder if Richarlison will get a start, feels like it would be his first in ages
hopefully Moore gets a start again

For those asking how this tournament works:
Top 8 avoid the first knockout round and are seeded in the round of 16, allowing them to avoid each other and play at home second leg. The team that finish top of the group stage will play the lowest ranking qualifier in the last 16 and so on.
Teams that finish 9-24th play a knockout game in Feb against each other - once again, the team in 9th will play 24th and so on. The higher ranking sides will be at home second leg.
They have run Monte Carlo simulations on this and 10 points guarantees qualification - 9 points puts your chances of qualifying in the 90th percentile range. So a win tonight basically qualified us for that first KO round at worst - so winning tonight would mean we could rest players away to Galatasaray in a couple of weeks - this being our only game outside of London between the international breaks.
16 points is likely to be the cut off for a top 8 position.
We are in a good place - I mean compare to United on 2 points and having to play Jose’s Fenerbahce away tonight.
Tonight is big, win this and we are a couple of wins and a draw away from a top 8 position - we would still have to play Rangers away, where I fancy us to get a draw, Roma at home - I don’t think they will go strong, they are having a horrible start to the season and have already lost to Bodo Glimt away. Hoffenheim away - struggling in the league and Elfsborg at Home (in late Jan) - their league season ending in December and starting late March and they have to play us late Jan.
We’re looking good in this comp - just need to make sure there is no complacency tonight as AZ are a decent side and will cause us problems
Hat trick for Troy parrot tonight
Parrot was so highly rated and was supposed to be the next big thing for us. Wonder if he will ever realise the potential he had.
Shame it never worked out for him with us. I understand he was influenced/lead astray by friends and family which may not have helped his football whilst with us.
Never heard about that Jimmy.
His family are , rumoured , to have connections to
Irish mobsters
