The away form is atrocious. And as you say absolutely no fight, once a team starts to mix it. Lost nearly every 50/50 today. To many lightweights in the side, that don't like to roll their sleeves up.

Romero is a huge, huge disappointment the way he just strolls about with zero urgency. I get the impression he doesn't want to be at the club.

Just 3 away wins in last calendar year
Unacceptable
Ange out

posted 3 weeks, 3 days ago

The squad lacks minerals, leadership and experience, hence the up and down performances, it is a process and this current squad is not where it wants to be yet.

This is what happens when almost all your signings are business decisions, young players with a view to developing them and increasing their value.

The fans want to build a successful football team, but Levy wants to build a successful business.

To be fair Billy it is the senior players like Romero, Maddison and Bentancur that are not turning up. All three just stroll around.

It's basically Poch form before he was sacked, only where Poch meanwhile got to a CL final, made top 4, had the other 3 seasons of getting top 4 in the bank, all Ange has is those 10 games unbeaten at the beginning of last season.

Whether Ange deserves more time or not, it's fair to say he's very fortunate to still be in a job comparative to other managers at Spurs.

posted 3 weeks, 3 days ago

Comparing other manager reigns are pointless, especially Poch. He was actually very lucky Utd and Woolwich lost Fergie and Wenger. The league was weaker and he still did not capitalise.

Definitely Poch away form.

There are obvious issues away from home - City away next in the league and then Bournemouth, Southampton and Forest. We need 7 points from that run otherwise serious questions about his future need to be asked.

They have to get back to basics away from home - first of all faaaacking compete, anyone not up for it needs a shooing. After that, work on the balance to make sure we are not leaving ourselves short at the back.

I’m fed up of seeing Ange looking surprised after a bad away day, every time we’re either profligate or just schittt.

Massive game Wednesday now, has to get us through to get the heat off us.

This article is not me pizzing the bed before I get accused of that, the home form is good, Europa is good, the cup games in general have been good. But we need to man up away from home

Some fans were writing letters to the chairman when Poch had similar form…

The faaack you on about, City had Pep, Liverpool had Klopp and Chelsea were spending crazy and hiring Jose whilst he was still good and Conte.

Poch took us to a couple of 2nd place finishes and a CL final - few managers in our entire history have done better

You have to worry about IQ levels of people writing letters to Levy, like asking a hungry shark not to eat you

I know. It’s mental. But it happened.

So he should have won the league in his first season after we had finished 6th the year before he joined - behind Bobby Martinez’s Neverton side?

What point are you failing to make here?

Never said he should have won the league.

If you read what I said, it is pointless comparing manager reigns.

But in 6 years, at least win trophy.

Ange has had one year and three months.

The state of this fanbase is a joke.

Three more windows. Cheque please.

posted 3 weeks, 3 days ago

Being good at home and poor away is the sign of a team without character. Leicester game summed it up, total domination for 60 mins, as soon as they score we wilt.

This is a very spursy team and I am yet to see any of this winning mentality Ange had in his previous pub leagues.

Poch did the things that enabled him to stay on as long as he did to win a trophy. Top 4 in the second season and then 3 more seasons of consecutive top 4 finishes. So really if Ange isn't going to deliver us top 4 this season then it ought to be a trophy and given his comments that's what we should expect.

posted 3 weeks, 3 days ago

Can we please stop going on about Poch. He is done and dusted. Five years won nothing. Oh a bit of glory at reaching a couple of finals, but bottom line is he won zilch.

Ange may still win a trophy. Prem form is patchy. But cup form has been 4/4 wins this season. Let's at least see how far Spurs go in the cups. I think they are definitely a cup team more than a league team right now. You don't have to be that good to win a cup. Man United have proved that over the past few years. Arsenal won three FA Cups when they were not finishing top four.

posted 3 weeks, 3 days ago

We have to face facts Ange aside the club is full of weak school boy type players with no balls desire or character. Yes there great and pleasing onthe eye when it’s going well but nearly all go missing when we need them to step up, man up and fight.

For me this is our biggest problem and has been for years. We simply don’t sign the right type of players to make a team or squad.

Will he get a chance to see out a cup competition if this league form continues though? Villa next, then City in a couple of games time. If we lose to Villa then the desire from fans calling for Ange's head will be loud. I guess it will come down to Levy's tolerance if league form does not pick up.

I don't know how much time I want to give Ange. I said before that I thought we needed a good unbeaten run since the Brighton game up to the City game and we've already lost to Palace. Again after the City game there's another chance to go on a decent unbeaten run for the rest of the year, but are we going to lose to Bournemouth soon after or someone?

I keep wanting Ange to get it going but we never do. A bad loss is always around the corner killing our momentum.

posted 3 weeks, 3 days ago

It’s also generally the manner how we lose mostly it’s capitulation of the highest order. Very rarely do you come away thinking we were unlucky there or hard done by.

Spurs will beat Villa. The form home and away is like chalk and cheese. They are able to up their game at WHL, but just fall to bits away from it. Wouldn't be surprised if they don't beat City as well.

They are just clueless and weak away from WHL. No leaders.
