Palace’s first win of the season.
Doctor Tottenham really delivered for them.
Spurs have already lost three away games, with certain away defeats at Stamford Bridge, the Emirates, Anfield, The Etihad. That will make seven. Throw in possible defeats at Wolves, West Ham, Fulhsm and Bournemouth, don't be surprised if they are beaten at least a dozen times on the road this season. Mentality is the weakest in the Prem.
I find it all a bit dumbfounding, and unfortunately so does Ange!
It seems once teams work out how to upset our rhythm and game plan, we’re done for.
Don’t even want a plan B now, just some fight and determination!
If he wins a cup, he'll be your best manager in about 15 years. People are fickle, just give it time.
Wow, didn’t know we’d lost 16. That really is shocking. The worst part is that the players now know off by heart Ange’s methods so, aside from personnel changes, can we really expect any change in performances and results? Is there anything he can say on the training ground now that ultimately moves us forward? If we accept he doesn’t ever want to change his methods you’d have to assume that he also won’t see any progress from the position we’re currently in. With some managers who may have had a rocky start, you can have more faith in their long term success because they’re flexible enough to tweak things that aren’t working. With Ange, it’s what we currently have or nothing at all.
What frustrates me is that when we’re good, we’re really good but it’s the lack of consistency that really winds me up. That’s why I’m not on board with getting rid of him because we are playing better football and if you couple that with a complete lack of a viable alternative, I’d stick with him for now. This season is gone anyway in terms of any potential CL place so we might as well give him until the end to see where things are then. If there’s no improvement then we look elsewhere. The very fact United haven’t sacked Ten Hag exposes just how poor the candidate pool is.

The stats really are pretty poor. Bang average.
I mean the fact it’s still October and we think the season (in prem) is already over, says it all. How can we be top on October last season and end the season without even top 4, and this season in October, top4 is looking very unlikely. Agree that the lack of alternatives is killing us too.
I guess the fact we could fall so bad last season means you can never rule anything out and we COULD switch to great form. But we all know whats gonna happen. 6th at best

We ain’t doing shat this season… we will be out of the cup this week, first half decent team we come against in europa or fa cup we’re out end of. As for the league goodness knows…

Their second string is streets ahead of our first and I've no doubt Ange will rotate again prioritising a league we're already out of contention in. Madness.
Anyway, I couldn't give a shiiiit about the League Cup. It's the most meaningless of all the trophies but because it's against Premier League opposition, is probably harder to win than the Europa. I'm balls deep on Europa this year because if we win that, we're in the CL anyway. I get that any trophy would be nice but we've won League Cups before and it's never lead to anything. One of them was one about 5 months before we got the infamous 2 points from 8 games. If we go through, great. If we don't, I'm not gonna lose any sleep.

Well same, Europa for me this season.
Well one things consistent and true …….. we don’t do things feking easy do we.
Today and Brighton are totally inexcusable.
But it's not surprising. I have no faith in this board, chairman, manager or players to deliver what we want.
The thing is sacking Ange probably makes things worse. Can't think of a single credible realistic candidate. Think we probably just have to stick with him and hope something miraculously changes.
I see conte is top of serie A. Apparently playing attacking football too.
Another ex manager doing well outside the restrictions of Enic.

As if we’re going to trust Darth Levy to do the right thing at the right time!
- We’ve had the ‘not turn up, not creative, unable to score’ (arsenal)
--------------
Isn't that what we had today too? Although that was against Arsenal, this was against a team that hasn't won a league game all season. So actually I'd say we've now gone and done the Dr Tottenham result.
Our form since the first 10 games would be in sack-worthy territory for many Spurs managers. If this were in previous years Ange would probably be packing his bags already. But Levy since a couple of poor managerial decisions and styles of football with Mourinho and Conte is maybe giving Ange a bit more slack. Getting sick of the false hope though. It's hard to get too excited going forward when you know any good win and performance is going to soon be followed by a dog shiiit result.
Palace could have had more goals. They had the ball in the net a second time outrunning our high line which was all in their half, but for a marginal off-side.
And Vicario made 3 excellent saves, one with his legs.
But did we trouble Henderson?
One save from Maddison was all.
Palace gave our Aussie wonder of a manager a lesson in defense. Our "attack" was miserable at taking advantage of what chances they got. Richarlison is way too slow. Solenke was never in position.
Son was certainly missed!
Frankly, if the two sides were swapped positions in the table, this match would have seemed a predictable outcome.
Excuse?
Well their goal resulted fro a mistake by VDV giving the ball away.
But most of all, the predictability of our tactics. Other managers have simply figured out how to play against Spurs.
What do they do? Defend in dept and hit us on the counter attack.

Exactly this.
We won’t ever win anything under this ownership. It just not in their ambitions for the club.
Enic built a stadium in the London against huge odds.
You don’t think they could’ve won more than one trophy in a quarter of a century of it was as important to them?
