Love the wee man, and overall he’s been a fantastic signing, but you make a valid point. Said so myself during the game. In the last 18 months he’s been nowhere near as clinical … bar OF games. In fact, he missed a shedload in Europe under Ange as well, IIRC.

Totally agree mate i honestly think we need to bring in another striker the wee man is living off good will from past exploits ,truth is he's been poor since Ange left and yes his movement is good but his job is to put the ball in the net which he is failing to do !

He’s not at his best at taking goalscoring chances but his defensive play has been immense. He backtracks much more now than ever.

He's still getting chances, still getting into goal scoring positions just lacking the rub of the green, I'm still confident he'll find his way back.

Or...he may have already turned into Pukki.

Who are you realistically signing to be third choice in a team that play 1 striker

Don't ask difficult questions.
Ask any SPFL defender and they hate playing against Kyogo getting dragged all over the place and eyes tired from all the swivelling. He's top class and his selfless game is about more than putting it in the net. Big picture.

I reckon he's missing at least one decent chance per game.
His link up play is poor. Massive difference when Idah came on against Motherwell.
Having said that, he still gives big stupid centre halfs the runaround like no-one else. You see it every game. That moment when they turn around and realise that he's not where they thought he was. It's hilarious.
Hopefully he finds his goal scoring touch before too long.

he's been a bit poor in front of goal but his movement is terrific, he pulls defenders all over the place to create openings for others, and that is critical when playing against a packed defence.
he's miles better than Idah, and theres no way he should be dropped.

He's been poor in front of goal since Ange left how long do you wait on his goal scoring touch returning ?? He's become a liability eg last night if he buries the 2 glaring chances early in the game were on easy street ,miss those chances against stronger opposition it costs points or your knocked out a cup ,we need a more clinical striker imho

Kyogo misses chances yes , he also goes quiet in games
But you can't deny what he brings , a constant workload with moments of real quality . He's perfect for some games but sometimes games lend itself to a different type of striker .
Can't believe people want him binned

He has faults. That's why he's at Celtic.
But he's as good as we'll get.

You make a fair point. If you believe that a striker should only be judged on how many goals he scores.
He missed 4 good chances last night. But, he gets himself in to these positions with good movement and great touch. I'd be more concerned if he wasn't getting the chances. We know he can finish so missing chances doesn't concern me so long as he keeps on getting in there. I am confident his goal scoring exploits will return.
Idah I agree is great at the link up play but at times there are baen good balls into areas that I have said "Kyogo would have made that run"

Spot on.
In the meantime, maybe our other attacking players could take more advantage of the chaos the wee man causes in opposition boxes.
The diversity of opinions on this thread clearly demonstrates that some of us really understand the game and others are absolute dimwits who have no idea what they're talking about.
Unfortunately i have no idea which group is which.
