Home banker this one. Comfortable win, no excuses. 3-0

Gyabi is ineligible for them as well. Going for a 2-0.

Just watching Luton WBA game.

I was wrong about the league being poor this year.

It is absolutely desperate.

Oh no, you had to go and say it, didn’t ya? I’d be amazed to see us beat anyone by 3 goals this season. Going for the kill isn’t Farke’s philosophy. Get a 1 or 2 goal lead and hang on to it seems to be Farke’s tactic.

Now down to a team that picks itself with James probably out.

Completely agree on that LIW….I watching that game in awe of how bad it was. I’m 56 and I reckon I wouldn’t have looked out of place on that field. No wonder promoted teams to the PL are getting nowhere.

Thanks for the Earl-y thread
Much appreciated by us far-flung followers of LUFC. I think Farke should put a big sign up in the dressing room saying ‘NO MERCY’, because we dominate every game at home, but we have yet to see that reflected in the score.
With or without DJ, we have to win this and I hope we build enough of a lead to make early subs and give Schmidt, Guilavogi and Crew a run out. 3-1 to Leeds, Piroe, Gnonto and Joseph to send the pointless Pilgrims packing.

Morning all and thanks for the MDT Earl🌞.

4-1 for me … Gnonto brace … DJ … Rodon👍.

Crikey James is probably out and Rodon are you sure?

I know people will say not this again but if DJ is out, we need Solomon to find some of that form that brought him to the club, this is a big ask because to date we've seen it in fits and starts and none of it since the injury.
He has to start, but if he continues to fire blanks, I wonder whether Farke has been working on changes of formation, it was suggested on here last season we might see Firpo further forward.
Just wonder with the lack of options, what Farke's contingency plans might be.

Vital that Rodon does not get booked. Can't think of a worse game than Millwall away for him to be missing too. Thanks for the thread. 2.0 Willy and Joseph.

Sensible prediction given our available squad.

Earl, you didn't list Bamford in the injuries. I'm sure
I heard Farke say PB now has an adductor issue.

Horrible news batty. Even without Bamford we'll have too much for them.
3-0 Piroe, Joseph and Firpo.

Didn't know that Batty thanks.

Might be easier listing those who are available to play

Just changing tack slightly, just saw an article about our set piece goals.

From last 300 goals scored, how many were from set pieces??

2%?
3%?

Try 25% 😳

Think we might struggle to put a bench out if all the injuries are correct, i'll take a win by any means and look for a 7pt week,

posted 3 days, 13 hours ago

Morning all and thanks as usual to Earl for the MDT which I'll probably not be too involved with during the game apart from half time and near full time but I expect us to get the win but I don't expect it to be comfortable with our injuries and so I'll go for a 1 nil to Leeds and another clean sheet.

Begs a few questions for me, what counts as a set piece goal for one, is it like a penalty, free kick or corner that goes in or in the case of a corner is turned in or does it mean that in the piece of action immediately following a set piece, for example a throw is taken and then two or three touches later it ends up in the back of the net obviously as the result of practiced routines.
The second is, when we concede, what is the percentage from set pieces, there was a time when we were very susceptible to conceding from corners, we seem to have tightened up in that department but I am still always a little anxious. We concede so few, but if we are vulnerable to set pieces, can we reduce that down even further?
The third question is, 25%, what do other teams do? That may be quite average.

Must win today. Anything less against a team
supposedly far weaker than us, at home, and
DF might start getting a bit nervous.
