Crazy! Some of those defensive signings have been quality tho but he really needs to focus on forward attacking signings and add quality depth to this squad.

Whats with Nwari ? Why is he not getting enough game time??

He has bought 1 striker during that period and even he isn't a proper central striker

The fact that we’re relying on an inexperienced 17 year as the player to come off the bench and save us tells us how bad our depth is.

I personal think that he should be eased into games over the course of the season without having that added pressure to save us, at that age. There should be a more experienced quality back up ahead of him.

Can’t put all the blame on Arteta for that as well. Who knows who and what he has been asking for- maybe he hasn’t been getting who hes been asking for.

I’m personally relived that we’ll be replacing Edu- I wasn’t his biggest fan and believe he needs to take some responsibility for how poor the windows have been. Garlick and Venkatesham too.

Edu will probably be replaced internally by someone like Per Mertersacker.

Crazy to think that Arteta worked under Pep. Pep’s influence hasn’t washed off on him at all. He’s far more like Mourinho.

It’s a bit like how under Wenger wee always say we need to get a DM, or a CB but he’d always get 5’6 attackers.

It is an issue for sure, but Arteta has gone for a forward a few times but we never got it over the line. I think the club is cautious about dropping 70m+ on a striker incase they flop, so we’re waiting for the perfect deal. So I do think Arteta knows we need a forward. But our business is still too unbalanced toward defence either way, however having said that we did score a lot of goals last year. This does show we’re capable of attacking well, but also that we were clearly very reliant on odegaard, and we haven’t been able to figure out a good system without him, a lot of that will be due to the other available players don’t have the answers because there’s not enough creative players in the squad

If we fail to win something this season then Arteta Out
5 years without a major trophy is unacceptable

Of those defensive signings, only Mari, Tavares and Mari have been duds. None of them were hugely expensive, and were squad members rather than first teamers.

I think in January Man Utd would be looking to get rid of Rashford and Arsenal will be stupid enough to take him off their hands. Sterling and Rashford partnership pending

Actually feel we've gone backwards from last two seasons. We are certainly reliant on Odegaard. Nwaneri needs more time on the pitch. Doubt we will get a much needed striker in either January or the summer. All the hype around set pieces is all well and good, but Plan A should be scoring freely from open play.

Lol we have signed what 5 or 6 keepers during that period and you are all for it?

Shows how good Odegaard is to be fair. The amount of goals he creates in a posh version of Burnley is incredible.

He is the one player you can’t live without, there is little creativity without him and Saka has even less space to operate

Very underrated tbh. Hasn't reached KdB levels but hes not miles off, hes just a different type of player - doesn't score as many worldies or goals out of nothing, but orchestrates us so well and brings it all together. We look clueless without him.
