It doesn’t matter how many players, coaches, scouts, ambassadors come out and tell us that levy had a loser mentality and just doesn’t consider winning crucial, the usual folk will deny it.

He has bred a culture of apathy to winning. It’s embed now in the very psyche of the club, stemming from his sole ambition of coming fourth and making money from the champions league.

He is a charlatan that puts financial gain before any sporting ambition. He always has. There are many many many examples like the ones Hugo has given. Until Tottenham Hotspur are rid of him, they will always be spursy.

Somehow if all the awards the club has been given for the stadium had just been presented and engraved as finalists then you can bet Levy would have been up in arms at that.

I think it was bizarre that Levy would have thought it was a good idea to hand out the watches before the game.

He clearly thought that he was doing something nice and inspirational for the players, so I can't knock him too hard for that.

Equally, there's no way the pitiful performance on the day was because of the watches, so the players need to take a long hard look at themselves (Lloris included) and stop trying to blame others.

Liverpool were there for the taking that day.

I think that's almost certainly true and actually the root cause of why we've not won anything. He tries hard all the time to do better but he just doesn't get it. Needs to not be involved with the football team at all.

He's almost certainly on the spectrum
---

What does that mean?

I said it on my thread below but got shot down and shouted at by the usual suspects ts.

Levy/ENIC don't care about winning as much as they should.

Multiple stories after we lost CL final about two directors were roasting themselves and celebrating. Absolutely diabolical.

I prefer to think of the original

Everything about that night felt off. From the very start the vibe was that it was a victory in itself that we had made it to the final. We were like some plucky little outfit in the 3rd round of the FA cup.

I’m not having it though that it all rests on Levy - he didn’t pick a clearly unfit Harry Kane

Well, you both glossed over a crucial bit in the OP 'with the support of a sponsor'.

So did the sponsor just do it?
Did they ask, get the go ahead but the detail was not thought through?
Was Levy in a difficult position having said yes, not working out that detail (if he even knew it would be engraved) and it would have been worse to upset the sponsor?
Is the implication the club weren't doing anything else - I assume the players were on a bonus that dwarfed the watch that they could easily afford in any case?
A club as wealthy as Spurs should have concierges or similar directly looking after the happiness of their highly paid key employees - where does it all fall down or do they have their hands tied?
Don't disbelieve Lloris but there always more to it & would he been happier without it?

I agree with all of this.

Worth noting that an absolute BULLF*CKINGSHIT handball that should never be in the rules as a penalty allowed Liverpool to have an 85% chance of scoring a goal. A total nonsense.

I'm not entirely sure of the correct terminology but Levy does carry certain traits that you'd associate with autism or ADHD. He's got a sort of social awkwardness and he's lacking in the ability to pick up on certain emotional sensitivities within a group. If the term spectrum isn't acceptable now then fine, I wasn't aware.

Lot of assumptions there and questions we can't possibly answer as fans. We've not glossed over anything

Boss buys employees a gift shocker

posted 1 week, 3 days ago

Although I would say, Danny Rose gave an interview a while back where he said the bonus structure was almost impossible to achieve. We've seen consistently under Levy, that targets are to achieve top 4, that he's proud of increasing revenues etc while football achievements are almost a footnote

A sponsor gifted watches for the players

I turned up in Madrid

Our players didn’t

Yes the penalty was harsh but we had over 85 minutes left in the match to turn it around.

I made no assumptions, just throwing out possibilities but I get that you can't stand him. Yeah, you can't possibly know the details as fans but gloss over what you do know to castigate him.

I've always thought there was something very odd about that game.

My theory has always been that the despicable decision not to start Lucas p1ssed the majority of the team off and as a result they started the match in the wrong frame of mind which they couldn't recover from.

It was incredible that having such character and boucebackability throughout the competition we went down with such a whimper in the final.
