Lucky, Trump left a red over the pocket twice, second time lucky, Trump doing the usual, comes to the big tournaments like this one, & the UK, Masters after Christmas & he's watching from home from wherever in the Middle East he lives...
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Yep, he looked like he lost his head a bit and played a dumb shot on the brown to leave it over the hole.

Fk off Robbo was lucky as feck. Everytime he missed pots by miles he was getting away with it. He got loads of lucky snookers. Robbo also took forever on shots. He's slower than Selby and he's ab Aussie caaant.

Wow, you ok Arsenal 😂, I'm dreading a Ronnie Selby evening tonight, but it could quite easily be Murphy against Gudong...

At least Selby is honest about his style of play. Robbo claims to be a quick attacking player but goes into Pythagoras mode and spends 2+ minutes on shots regularly when he's under a bit of pressure. Yet people are up his backside. I don't get it.
Neil can enjoy his win last night and enjoy playing in qualifiers next week and we'll see if he qualifies for the UK championship.

Some quotes from Judd after the match.
“To be honest I think Neil knows he didn’t deserve to win like that.”
“He missed quite a few long balls and got safe every time”.
“You could say its a great blue but he shouldn’t have been in that position in the first place”
Also whined about Neil being slow.
Well Judd, thats snooker and it happens, you have got to get on with it. Will never warm to him, I couldn’t imagine many other pros being that bitter in front of the camera.

I have no issues with Judd saying that. He's not wrong. There have been plenty of times he's won and he's said he didn't deserve to win etc and he's praised opponents as well when he has lost matches.

From what I saw of the match, I think Robbo did have a good run of the ball at times, and he really butchered some good chances to win more comfortably. I know he has struggled when going into 'overthink mode' and thought he was trying to combat that.
As for Trump, he will come off a bit annoyed having lost a match where he had enough chances to win regardless of what Robbo was doing - probably just felt annoyed in his comments after the match, but hardly anything controversial.

Brilliant stuff from Xiao - frozen out for 3 frames to nil by Ronnie, and he does the same back to him
Final frame decider coming up

Xiao in first...................
Wow, that missed green by Ronnie was purely down to the pressure he was under - don't often see that.
Really is in Xiao's hands now
Ronnie missing a ridiculous green & he's going out...
Wow, what a miss from Xiao
Nervy from Xiao in the end, but what a fightback - deserved win in the end
Fluffed that snooker though, Ronnie out, probably want Robbo now
Xiao played great those last 4 frames. He has sent Ronnie packing back to Hong Kong with Judd
I think that is the first time I have ever seen the Ronnie mob (or anyone) celebrate or shout 'come on Ronnie' when the opponent has lost position and is still at the Table. Thought that was poor from them, fair enough to shout when it's Ronnie's turn.
Only watched the closing stages, Ronnie needs to improve considerably for the UK Championship. He can still hit the big breaks of course, but there’s something missing at the moment.
Nice win for Xiao, just won his first ranking event too, think he’s playing better now than when he first got into the top 16.
I think Ronnie is just missing match fitness. He played well today in general.

Ronnie was on it for first 3 frames, and then Xiao froze him out for the next - Ronnie even played on a bit in the 6th just to get his cuearm going. I think even Ronnie was shocked by what was happening and the missed green in the last just showed the pressure he was under..
He just lost to a better player on the day who is on good form
