Very suprising when the better sides win

Still think its two from three. Us, Sheff and Sunderland. Think Sunderland might fall away with there very young side and Burnley might join in.

We've got no excuses this season although injuries will be thrown out there.

Burnley won ! Very tight at the top 10...

I think Boro will have a say if they can keep Latte Lath fit and look nailed on for at least a play off spot and despite us convincingly beating Shef Utd they to me look a sure bet for one of the automatic places due to their consistency but I'm not convinced that Burnley or WBA
will be a factor in that top 2 race and Sunderland have a young team that you'd think we should be able to finish above but we thought that last season with Ipswich but luckily this season we're only 2 points behind as opposed to the same stage last year I think we were 9 or 10 points behind 2nd spot so I think we're in much better shape to fill one of the automatic places but I don't think we'll be running away with it and my gut feeling is we won't be mathematically clear of 3rd place until game 44 or 45 at the earliest so plenty of hard work still to do.

Last seven games

Lost twice at home to two bad sides 2 nil and 3 nil lost away to watford, when winning and gave away a two goal lead at an injury hit norwich. Averaging a paltry 1.43 per game in that run.

Arent in play offs at the minute.

Sunderland, WBA and Burnley, absolutely stinking the place out with performances lately.

Sheffield utd, look to have decent side, but nowhere near nailed on for autos

Yup scored a beauty yesterday.

That was his first atart in a while after been dropped to the bench, after going 10 games without a goal.

Dont really know alot about him, apart from nearly 26 and got only 50 league goals.

For you to have such faith in him, just like to know abit more about him please 👍

We’ve had a harder start than other teams around us.

Sheff Utd and Sunderland play each other at end of the month, Sheff Utd go away to West Brom too.

As long as we’re within a few points of top two by Christmas, it’s fine. The league is still taking shape until everyone has played everyone.

Can factor in cup runs too. Sheff Utd finished a fair way off Burnley when they reached the FA cup semi, Cov missed out on playoffs doing the same. Not sure a cup run will help any of the top sides as nice as cup runs are.

lets just keep picking points up... of course I pleased when Sunderland threw a 2 goal lead away, but little point looking too deep yet.

There was even one person, saying our defence was poor and coventry would batter us at home.

There is a pattern…………..

then we've got people who watch some highlights and see a great goal scored, sees a few highlights of him doing a Cruyff turn and they suddenly decide he's the next Maradona and should be playing for Leeds..

most cases the guys simply awful... scores once or twice a season, rest of it on a medical bench

I think we've looked the best team in every match we've played. Only exceptions to that notion was Boro at home in the cup (thought they looked decent - or we were just rubbish for that game?). Also think, although we were the better team, that Millwall played us there way.

I really don't think we've hit our stride yet, more to come. Hope the international break doesn't bring injuries.

Reasons to be optimistic I believe.

Suspect the majority of opposition fans/teams see us as one of the 2 autos, plus them and others fighting it out for other auto place.

That said we're LUFC, so we'll create enough jeopardy for ourselves to be jittery until the maths say we've been promoted .

You think its a worth while exercise looking at 4 different clubs November fixtures? - when we have 6 months, 30 games left to play.

We were Saturday morning 3rd 4pts behind 1st, we're now 3rd 2pts behind 1st!..

And have less chance now than at the start of the season, the season has to long to go!.

Right, so last season after 15 games we were 3rd in the table and 11 points adrift of Leicester in 1st position and 6 points behind Ipswich in 2nd place but Ipswich also had 2 games in hand over us. THIS is why some of us were correctly stating that games at that time were ‘must win’ as we couldn’t afford to get any further adrift of the top 2. This was proved 100% correct as we missed out on autos in case anyone forgets😁.

This season, after 15 games we’re again 3rd but only 2 points behind Sunderland in 1st and Sheff Utd in 2nd. i.e. for the avoidance of doubt, a completely different scenario this season and - from the horses mouth - our games are NOT must win atm.

'We can't close games out'
When we are 61 games unbeaten after scoring 1st in the Championship.

'We can't beat top sides'
Our record against sides in the top 2 over last 8 games is won 6 drawn 2.

'We don't create enough'
We've created the most big chances in the league

'We have a shaky defence'
We have conceded the least amount of shots in the first 15 games of Championship season since records began

People just make things up. I guess to justify their desperation to sign 15 new players in the summer?

Unless our form drops well below where it's been so far this season we are nailed on for top 2 and it would be a big improvement from another team to stop it being top 1.

Funny things do happen in football the negativity on here so far this season is really weird.

Probably Bamford's fault.
